Keeping it in my car drinkholder means I use it whenever I get back in my car, from the dog park, from touching the shopping cart, or petting other people's pets.
The smell is light enough I can eat after using it.

I was very dissapointed by this product, first
impressed with the "all natural" advertising, then
I get the product and it's scent is horrible.
(Like super strong Listerine! We had to open the
windows of the car! label states "Citrus Herb"..
Nooooo.... Looking to contact to return product.
No matter how effective a sanitizer is , if the
scent is terrible, I'm hesitent to use.

It absorbs fast & no sticky residue. It's almost perfect except for the smell. It's not a bad smell but it's not got wow factor either.

I have been trying to find a good alcohol-free foaming hand sanitizer since the brand I loved was discontinued. The odor of Cleanwell is so strong and harsh, I couldn't use it. Disappointing since it's organic as well. Also have tried BabyGanics and that left a fish smell on my hands. (Honestly, I'm normally this picky!)

I bought this as a alternate to the typical alcohol based hand cleaners. My kids like it because it doesn't sting small cuts on hands and it foams. I like it because it has a "safe" rating on the Skin Deep website and it lasts a long time.

YES--this product has a strong scent, because it is the natural antibacterial properties of thyme that are killing the germs without the use of harsh, toxic chemicals you find in the hand sanitizers you get at the store--it's all natural folks! If you go to the CleanWell website they explain how they came up with the formula for their son, who was born with an immunodeficient disease and couldn't tolerate chemical sanitizers. I don't work for CleanWell, but I am so impressed with their products and get frustrated when I read how people don't like their products because they smell herbal. They have added a new orange vanilla scent to some of their products--I haven't tried it yet, but maybe it's less offensive to some people. The bottom line is: If you want a hand sanitizer that is SAFE and effective for you and your kids, this is it! For the review here where the man had an adverse reaction--I'm guessing this is rare. My kids and I have sensitive skin and have never had a problem.

I bought this for my husband. He never has allergic reactions, but he used this once & it bothered him the rest of the day. He tried washing it off, but the smell & allergic reaction to his skin took hours to go away.

Definitely preferable to the alcohol-based sanitizers -- it is more gentle on the skin and doesn't cause small cuts/scrapes to sting like the alcohol sanitizers do. Also like the foaming texture versus a gel. I am not a fan of the odor, though. It seems to be attempting to smell fresh, but is too strong and unusual for me. I'd greatly prefer a fragrance-free option.

Clean well products are the only hand sanitizers that do NOT irritate my skin like ones with alcohol and/or benzalconium chloride can do. Plus, I love that it is safe for kids. What I love the most about this particular product though is the price when compared to volume for other sizes that this brand sells. This one is the best for your money! Plus, it foams and doesn't spray, so I feel like I am really getting my money's worth as it takes at least 2-3 sprays for the other Clean well products to cover my hands whereas with this product one pump (maybe two if I'm cleaning my kids' hands too) will work. The bottle is good for at least 600 pumps!
