So we've all seen the commercial where Heidi Klum promotes this product... and it seemed to make sense. Yes, great hair starts at the scalp! I had to try it. I have very long (down my back) hair, which is very coarse. I'm Asian, but do not have that soft-silky hair like most have, I have the dry, brittle horse hair kind. I'm constantly looking for nourishing products.

I had my hesitations with using a conditioner where you massage it into your scalp for 1. Wouldn't it cause limp hair? and 2. I have a sensitive scalp that can be itchy with the wrong products. But it gave it a 3 week trial, and this is my analysis.

Pros: Left hair feeling very soft after blow drying. And smelled great! Despite my fears of "flat hair", my friend and co-worker one day said to me "your hair looks so bouncy and healthy! like a model for hair products!" (completely unsolicited). Also, unlike most conditioning products that leave hair moisturized but flat, my hair still held a curl very well with a curling iron. It looks amazing!

Cons: Says to leave on 3 minutes. Who has 3 minutes every morning? Itchy, Itchy, Itchy scalp. I must have an allergy to an ingredient in the conditioner, because my scalp is incredibly itchy! At first I thought that I hadn't rinsed out the conditioner completely, so the next times I used it I made sure to was thoroughly rinsed. It was a little better, but still itchy. And if I use the product two days in a row, I actually get a build up on my scalp (I guess you'd call the seborrhea or dandruff). Not Cute.

Overall, I really like the results of how it made my hair look and am really sad how it makes my scalp feel! (Itchy as I write this). Will I still use it? Definitely yes! Probably not every day, but just once a week. And I'll deal with the itchiness on those days to reap the benefits of soft and bouncy hair.
