Sulfur is the only substance that kills a budding pimple, which is why this product delivers where others just make big claims (Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid are useless as spot treatments). Sulfur smells like rotten eggs, so Clearasil added a light fragrance to cover it, but as the scent of the sulfur breaks thru the fragrance, it smells funny. That said, this product will keep your skin amazingly clear like nothing else, so the scent is not a big issue (you have to been really close to smell it). Unlike prescription Sulfacet-R, this treatment can be worn during the day thanks to the tint, which is not orangey. It blends quite believably. If you have a big zit starting, you must smother it in sulfur around the clock to triumph over it now you can be seen in public.

This is by far the best over the counter acne medication I've tried. I've used them all, and this works even better than some of the prescription stuff I've tried. I've dealt with acne most of my life and this is really the only thing that will keep my skin under control. I find that it's not harsh at all, and it gives my face a nice, matte finish. I haven't noticed the awful smell other posters have mentioned, but maybe I'm used to it by now.

This is one of the few over the counter acne medications left that doesn't have benzoyl peroxide in it. I swore off benzoyl peroxide after it took the color out of so many of my clothes and towels. This stuff works better than the alternatives like salicylic acid.

I got this after reading the reviews, but have so much trouble with the smell. My old Acnomel smells so much better and seems to work just as well.

Cons: smells bad. Tends to leave residue (but not if you rub it really well) Pros: It works. It's mild. It's the only product that didn't peel off my skin after using it for a more than a week. For an added bonus, it makes the pores on my face look smaller.

I have tried everything from the dermatologist to the family doctor, and lots of over the counter expensive products. I never had a problem until peri-menopause. My face had huge boils. The pain was horrible, and bother worked. I saw this adult formula and decided to try it. It took away the painful cysts, cleared my face up and didn't dry it out nearly as much as the prescribed treatments. Plus, the dryness caused by this goes away. I swear by it.

When I first started using it, it was very irritating to my skin. It dried it out, left it red. But after a few days/week, it stopped, and I could see the difference. I didn't have horrible acne to begin with, but it did get rid of a lot of my problem spots. I stopped using it, BUT when I used it again a few months later, I had an allergic reaction and my face got really puffy and dry. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR EYE AREA IF YOU HAVE EVEN SLIGHTLY SENSITIVE SKIN. I know, obviously, not to use directly by your eye, but, even putting it on your temples can be a risk. Test this product out on the weekends just to make sure.

This product really rocks. I have not severe acne for months. Have tried all kinds of products, including some expensive ones. This is the best; it really prevents new breakouts from forming, and gives my skin a chance to heal. This is a little bit dry and smells not that good. But the results is amazing, well worth everything.
