I am a rather impatient person and like to be in control of certain things in my life (yes, Type A personality). Anyhow, I was 34 when me and my husband started trying to conceive beginning in June 2009 during our 1st year wedding anniversary in the Caribbean. Anyhow, I thought I knew my body like clockwork and that I ovulated on the 14th day of my cycle. WRONG. We tried in June and July during the 5 days before and up to what I thought was when I was ovulating (even planned our anniversary trip around those days). When we did not get pregnant during those 2 months I started freaking out. He's 41 and I was 34 so I thought we were screwed. Then something told me to look into getting a fertility monitor so I purchased this one. I was so annoyed when I opened the box to see that I had to start between the 1st and 5th day of my cycle. By the time I purchased the darn thing I was already on day 7. Being the impatient person that I am (I could not wait until the next month to start using it --- sorry), I just pretended I was on day 5 of my cycle and started using the darn thing. I figured I'd know I was 2 days off and the monitor would catch up on the next go around if we did not succeed during the first time. During the first 16 days of my cycle (according to the monitor) I was at "low" fertility. I started freaking out since, like I stated previously, I thought day 14 was my peak. Then, I got 2 high fertility days on days 17 and 18, followed by 2 peak days on days 19 and 20, respectively. Hence, I ovulated on day 20, which blew my mind. That was also my 35 birthday, which was sort of funny. Me and my husband made sure to have intercourse on virtually all of the high and peak days (especially my birthday of course), although we did skip one day because we both were dead tired from a late night workout. Anyhow, my cycle was 28 days as usual and I did not get my period on the 28th day. So I took one of those First Response (early results) test the day after my period was due (DON'T buy this First Response test BTW, it sucks) and it gave me only one solid line a really faint second line - so faint I really did not notice until I tilted the stupid test but it was so faint I just threw it out and thought I was not pregnant and was really annoyed. I was really crampy so I was certain my period was just late and it was coming any day. But when my period still did not come almost 10 days later I took other tests and they confirmed I was pregnant!!! I am currently 6 weeks. Me and hubby are going our prenatal checkup in a couple of days to hopefully hear the heart beat and do genetic testing. Very very excited. This product worked like a charm. Worth EVERY penny! We had been trying for our second child for a few months when I started using the CBEFM. It worked on our third month! What's weird is I never even knew my ovulation fluctuated so much: between 24-29 days. We tried on peak and high days and sure enough, the third month was a charm. [...]Ladies, I'm not here saying this is a guaranteed 'get pregnant' product, but do the math. Hundreds of other expectant moms speak VOLUMES about how well this works! Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: I was fearful that I would not conceive because I waited too long. My husband and I tried for 1 year without success. I bought this product and within 2 weeks I was pregnant. The monitor allows the woman to chart her own cycle and to know EXACTLY when the opportune moment is for conception. I think every couple trying for a baby should use this and save heartache and frustration. If they did, fertility clinics would have much less business. I have been recommending this product to friends, midwives and doctors. Of course i am a skeptic but i said "what the heck?" and i purchased one and today i found out i was pregnant. The day the monitor said i was ovulation obviously was right on point and i recommend anyone to use this especially for people like me who have irregular cycles and dont know whats going on in their body. I had a miscarrige about a year and three months ago.I have been trying ever since. Both hubby and myself had a few minor fertility issues.Also I'm 37 he's 39.I bought the monitor about 4 months ago after reading the rave reviews(and out of desperation!)I knew I was ovulating but wasn't as regular as I thought. After using the monitior for a few cycles I became much more in tune with my body.Anyway to get to the point, I tested positive today!!!!!!!!!. I am hoping that this is going to last and not end in miscarriage. So I can't say I have a baby as a result but it definitely helped me to get pregnant. I think I would have had reduced my "trying time" had I bought it earlier. I highly recommend this product. Pros

We were ttc for five months without it- when my cycles (normally 28 days exactly) were very inconsistent and long (32-35 days). FIRST month with the monitor, it showed me high on day 9 and peaking days 10-11. Thought this could NOT be right given recent long cycles (even did an opk on day 11 which showed neg- but here I am with a positive pg result on cd 24 (and we have not bd'd since day 11).
