This was the best thing I every purchased in my life. I am a rather impatient person and like to be in control of certain things in my life (yes, Type A personality). Anyhow, I was 34 when me and my husband started trying to conceive beginning in June 2009 during our 1st year wedding anniversary in the Caribbean. Anyhow, I thought I knew my body like clockwork and that I ovulated on the 14th day of my cycle. WRONG. We tried in June and July during the 5 days before and up to what I thought was when I was ovulating (even planned our anniversary trip around those days). When we did not get pregnant during those 2 months I started freaking out. He's 41 and I was 34 so I thought we were screwed. Then something told me to look into getting a fertility monitor so I purchased this one. I was so annoyed when I opened the box to see that I had to start between the 1st and 5th day of my cycle. By the time I purchased the darn thing I was already on day 7. Being the impatient person that I am (I could not wait until the next month to start using it --- sorry), I just pretended I was on day 5 of my cycle and started using the darn thing. I figured I'd know I was 2 days off and the monitor would catch up on the next go around if we did not succeed during the first time. During the first 16 days of my cycle (according to the monitor) I was at "low" fertility. I started freaking out since, like I stated previously, I thought day 14 was my peak. Then, I got 2 high fertility days on days 17 and 18, followed by 2 peak days on days 19 and 20, respectively. Hence, I ovulated on day 20, which blew my mind. That was also my 35 birthday, which was sort of funny. Me and my husband made sure to have intercourse on virtually all of the high and peak days (especially my birthday of course), although we did skip one day because we both were dead tired from a late night workout. Anyhow, my cycle was 28 days as usual and I did not get my period on the 28th day. So I took one of those First Response (early results) test the day after my period was due (DON'T buy this First Response test BTW, it sucks) and it gave me only one solid line a really faint second line - so faint I really did not notice until I tilted the stupid test but it was so faint I just threw it out and thought I was not pregnant and was really annoyed. I was really crampy so I was certain my period was just late and it was coming any day. But when my period still did not come almost 10 days later I took other tests and they confirmed I was pregnant!!! I am currently 6 weeks. Me and hubby are going our prenatal checkup in a couple of days to hopefully hear the heart beat and do genetic testing. Very very excited. This product worked like a charm. Worth EVERY penny! P.S. -- I'm still very crampy and very very bloated but it's worth it.

This product is fine and certainly helpful. I'm a mother to a one-year old and trying to conceive again. My hormones are still a bit out of whack, and so the CBFM is helpful in trying to pinpoint my new post-first baby cycle.

I conceived my first child without the use of fertility monitors or testing (I was lucky; just tried based on an ovulation calculator and cervical mucus and was pregnant on the third try).

I'm in my second month of using the monitor and I get the sense that the monitor is still trying to "figure out" my cycle. The first go, I had several highs, followed by two peaks (days 16 & 17), followed by a few lows. This month, I've had 13 highs, but based on "other" monitoring, I ovulated sometime around days 14 - 16.

It'll be interesting to see what month three generates . . . though I can't help but wonder if my tried-and-true cervical mucus charting works better for me. I also wonder if I have a hard-to-detect or short LH surge. Time will tell!

Overall - so far and for me - the product is interesting and hopefully more accurate as it collects more "data" so to speak. I envy the folks for whom it works like a charm!

One of the reasons I wrote this review was I was compelled to comment to a reviewer to boldly stated to another reviewer " Did you ever think maybe its YOU who is not ovulating?" Reviewer: Once someone decides to try to become pregnant, that person wants to become pregnant NOW. Waiting and wondering is not easy whether it's one month or 7 years. And understandably, people feel frustration (myself included) when any ounce of potential hope for information (e.g., the CBFM results) doesn't seem to work the way she hoped it would. Be kind to one another during this process. Focus on your independent experience and offer it here as something that might help others. It pains me to see someone/some people use this forum to attack or criticize others who have only expressed their individual experience and frustration.

Based on what I've read, it works for some folks and not so much for others. Maybe it's technical (user-error, the independent machine), maybe it's hormonal (low lh, not ovulating)! Who knows, right?!

Happy trying to all. Thank you for your reviews; they've helped me as I try to navigate the TTC-World again!

We purchased this a few months ago. While we haven't gotten pregnant (yet!) we are surprised at the variety of different times of the month when the egg appears. Each month seems different so obviously it's almost impossible to predict it yourself! Some months day 9, others day 13. We'll keep trying and congrats to those for whom this has already been successful!

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea:

We tried to conceive for about 6 months before we bought the item. I used the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor for about 6 months and I'm now 10 weeks pregnant! So it wasn't as quick as some of the other reviewers have said and the downside is that the monitor sticks are expensive! However, the monitor itself is easy to use and understand. I would highly recommend it to my family and friends. Good luck!

I am 33 and had very irregular peroids. We tried over 1 year with no success. I bought this monitor and took Clomid, got pregnant the 2nd month I used this monitor. That's amazing. Unluckily, I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks. But I'll continue to use it next time.

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea:

Not for use for women with PCOS!!! And they certainly mean it... I bought this device to help figure out my fertility as my PCOS usually causes longer cycles than the typical women. Problem is the hormone that it measures is LH - exactly the hormone that is elevated for women with PCOS. I wouldn't really recommend this product for women with PCOS - but it seems to work for women without any hormone syndrome!

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea:

My husband and I tried for two years to get pregnant. We finally broke down and brought this monitor and can you believe it? We got pregnant the SECOND month of using it (we just found out two days ago)!!! We are so excited. I promised myself that if this worked that I would write a review to tell everyone out there because it was everybody posting that really convinced me to try it (even though it is expensive!). I do want to mention that in the second cycle, I didnt get an ovulation high day (it stayed on two bars). After that, I was convinced that it would never happen for us. You can imagine my shock! Anyway, we couldn't be happier, so to anyone trying, you should really put this monitor on your list. Good luck to everyone out there and dont give up hope!!!

When we decided to get pregnant we wanted it to happen right away. After one month of trying, we bought this monitor, due to all the positive reviews. After two months of using it, I just found out I am pregnant and I can't believe it was that easy. It also puts your mind at ease so that you really know when you are ovulating, which is especially nice if you are an irregular after coming off the pill like I was.
