I am a rather impatient person and like to be in control of certain things in my life (yes, Type A personality). Anyhow, I was 34 when me and my husband started trying to conceive beginning in June 2009 during our 1st year wedding anniversary in the Caribbean. Anyhow, I thought I knew my body like clockwork and that I ovulated on the 14th day of my cycle. WRONG. We tried in June and July during the 5 days before and up to what I thought was when I was ovulating (even planned our anniversary trip around those days). When we did not get pregnant during those 2 months I started freaking out. He's 41 and I was 34 so I thought we were screwed. Then something told me to look into getting a fertility monitor so I purchased this one. I was so annoyed when I opened the box to see that I had to start between the 1st and 5th day of my cycle. By the time I purchased the darn thing I was already on day 7. Being the impatient person that I am (I could not wait until the next month to start using it --- sorry), I just pretended I was on day 5 of my cycle and started using the darn thing. I figured I'd know I was 2 days off and the monitor would catch up on the next go around if we did not succeed during the first time. During the first 16 days of my cycle (according to the monitor) I was at "low" fertility. I started freaking out since, like I stated previously, I thought day 14 was my peak. Then, I got 2 high fertility days on days 17 and 18, followed by 2 peak days on days 19 and 20, respectively. Hence, I ovulated on day 20, which blew my mind. That was also my 35 birthday, which was sort of funny. Me and my husband made sure to have intercourse on virtually all of the high and peak days (especially my birthday of course), although we did skip one day because we both were dead tired from a late night workout. Anyhow, my cycle was 28 days as usual and I did not get my period on the 28th day. So I took one of those First Response (early results) test the day after my period was due (DON'T buy this First Response test BTW, it sucks) and it gave me only one solid line a really faint second line - so faint I really did not notice until I tilted the stupid test but it was so faint I just threw it out and thought I was not pregnant and was really annoyed. I was really crampy so I was certain my period was just late and it was coming any day. But when my period still did not come almost 10 days later I took other tests and they confirmed I was pregnant!!! I am currently 6 weeks. Me and hubby are going our prenatal checkup in a couple of days to hopefully hear the heart beat and do genetic testing. Very very excited. This product worked like a charm. Worth EVERY penny! P.S. -- I'm still very crampy and very very bloated but it's worth it. VS Most Liked Negative Review Helpful Technology (Maybe More! TBD!) This product is fine and certainly helpful. Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: Okay first let me say that I was very skeptical of this product at first because I didn't believe it could actually read your fertile days and was only relying on the start of your period and counting the days from there that you are most fertile. Well I have only used this for one month and am now pregnant! I highly recommend this to anyone who has had a hard time getting pregnant. Prior to using this I was pregnant for almost 4 months and miscarried and then trying again after that took us 6 months to get pregnant, one month using the Clear Blue Fertility monitor. Don't waste your time on those websites that use fertility calendars. That's what we were using before and to my surprised those calendars were 3 days off. Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: WOW!! I'm 30 and my husband and I had been TTC for 4 months before we bought this. Before, I charted everything and it was getting stressful trying to guess the exact ovulation. I thought I ovulated at day 12 based on cervical mucus like you read about but it was actually days 10 and 11 and it increases the chance a few days before. I had 1 high, 2 peak with egg days and 1 more high. My husband and I did the baby dance the first high day, only 1 peak and the last high day. After, I did the legs up in the air for 20-30 minutes each time after. I just tested this morning, 14 days after the first high and 5 days before my period would be due...I'm PREGO for the first time!!!! I've taken like 4 different brand tests and they all read the same. If you're serious about starting or adding to your family, this is an investment worth buying. Good luck ladies:) Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: My husband and I had been trying for 6 months with no luck and since we are well into our 30's, I knew that we may possibly need to move the process along. I started searching fertility websites and really got to learn about conceiving and watching my cervical mucus and thought I was ahead of the game- but when nothing was happening I had to go to Plan B. I stumbled across the clearblue easy fertility monitor as a recommendation. I read review after review of women getting pregnant the first time with it. I figured that if I got pregnant because of it then throwing [$] at a monitor for the lifetime happiness of a child is WELL worth it. Well, guess what, the first time we tried it...I got pregnant- like so many of those other reviews. I was a skeptic- believe me!!! I was like...NOPE that won't be me but hey, maybe it will help speed up the process??? WELL IT DID!!! Just go buy it- you will be SOOOO glad you did and hopefully you will be the next one to post a review and comment that it worked on the first try. Good luck ladies!! Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: I bought this after my husband and I decided to try to have another baby, but my periods were irregular due to breastfeeding our first child. I started to get discouraged when days 1-8 showed low fertility, then day 9 I finally got a high. And kept getting highs until day 16! I had almost given up that I would get an Lh surge (and we were getting tired! :) ), but sure enough day 16 and 17 showed the little egg. Well, first month using it, first try - I'm now 7 weeks pregnant. We probably didn't need the monitor, but it gave us some feeling of control, especially since I was still breastfeeding and not even sure if I was ovulating or not. If we have another, we'll use it again. The only down side is the test strips are separate and expensive, and you're supposed to use test strips from the same pack (instructions say around 10 per month - 30 to a pack) for the month - so if the monitor has you test more than 10 times that month, you'll be short of test strips for the 2nd or 3rd month, and have to buy another pack. I ended up using 12 or 13. Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: Once you get the hang of it, it works. Unfortunately, you cannot use it until your next cycle starts but I like it a lot. It is making me feel better because I always felt I was not ovulating. I am just keeping track of my cycles so when we start TTC, I will know where I stand. Recommended! Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: I'm currently on day 13 with this product. It still detect a low fertily so far. I'm haing ovulation pains but havent detected any changes of high to peak fertility yet. I'm also using a OPK test strip to compare. So far the OPK test strips have correspond with the clearblue fertily monitor. No LH surge yet either. But this is my first month using this product so maybe its still getting use to my cycle. Only time will tell and I will keep you all up to date if I concieved or not. Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: I bought this product because my husband was returning from a deployment and we wanted to try to have a kid and not have to wait. Well we used it the 2 months he got back (which was May/June). We stopped in July due to getting ready to move and started back up in August with nothing. Well I started again in mid August and didn't use it. All I can say is now I'm pregnant and I didn't use it at all. So don't count on this to be so accurate. Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: My husband and I were married for 3 years when we started trying, then after 2 looong years of disappointment and trying on our own we decided to get further testing done. After seeing an OB that told me that there was nothing she could do about my circumstance and that I needed to consider en-vitro, I went to see our family Doctor for a regular check up and told her the experience I had with this OB. Our family Dr. suggested running some labs and had other tests done and discovered that I had PCOS. She sent me to an amazing endocrinologist in her office who put me on Metformin in November and I got pregnant without trying in December, quite by accident (I was supposed to be on it first for 6 months and then start on Clomed after that)! Our son is now 2 and we have been trying for the last year... I finally decided on a whim to buy this monitor on our HSA, (if anything to at least find out if I am ovulating since it says it doesn't work if you have PCOS) and long and be hold I got pregnant on the very first try. I really didn't expect anything to happen.. I am now 5 weeks pregnant and I think it was worth every penny! I also took some female hormone herbs throughout the month which I believe helped some! I always thought that since my cycle is 32-34 days that I ovulated later than most women.... well I was wrong about that this month anyways, Right on day 15 and 16 I peaked!! Yay I am so happy and shocked that it really was this easy! I promised myself that if this thing worked on me at all that I'd be writing this review! Thank you Clear Blue Easy!!! Thankful to not be going through what my sister-in-law is going through... fertility doctors work on your desperation and it's heartbreaking to see your loved ones go through that. I thought I was going to be next and am so thankful for this little computer! Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: I purchased the monitor based on the positive reviews on drugstore.com. Because I am a little (OK, very) impatient, I used the monitor at the same time I used the ClearBlue digital fertility tests as a backup. Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: At first, I was a little weary of the machine "getting to know" my cycle. I wanted to test every day of the cycle after day 6. I have only had three cycles since my pregnancy last year, so I reset the monitor completely once the cycle ends so that it will ask for a new test more often. Honestly, I use this monitor as a cross-reference for natural family planning, which means I check and chart mucus signs, basil body temperature, and test strips when I wish to avoid or achieve pregnancy. It has really been a helpful tool. Displaying reviews 11-20
