I am a rather impatient person and like to be in control of certain things in my life (yes, Type A personality). Anyhow, I was 34 when me and my husband started trying to conceive beginning in June 2009 during our 1st year wedding anniversary in the Caribbean. Anyhow, I thought I knew my body like clockwork and that I ovulated on the 14th day of my cycle. WRONG. We tried in June and July during the 5 days before and up to what I thought was when I was ovulating (even planned our anniversary trip around those days). When we did not get pregnant during those 2 months I started freaking out. He's 41 and I was 34 so I thought we were screwed. Then something told me to look into getting a fertility monitor so I purchased this one. I was so annoyed when I opened the box to see that I had to start between the 1st and 5th day of my cycle. By the time I purchased the darn thing I was already on day 7. Being the impatient person that I am (I could not wait until the next month to start using it --- sorry), I just pretended I was on day 5 of my cycle and started using the darn thing. I figured I'd know I was 2 days off and the monitor would catch up on the next go around if we did not succeed during the first time. During the first 16 days of my cycle (according to the monitor) I was at "low" fertility. I started freaking out since, like I stated previously, I thought day 14 was my peak. Then, I got 2 high fertility days on days 17 and 18, followed by 2 peak days on days 19 and 20, respectively. Hence, I ovulated on day 20, which blew my mind. That was also my 35 birthday, which was sort of funny. Me and my husband made sure to have intercourse on virtually all of the high and peak days (especially my birthday of course), although we did skip one day because we both were dead tired from a late night workout. Anyhow, my cycle was 28 days as usual and I did not get my period on the 28th day. So I took one of those First Response (early results) test the day after my period was due (DON'T buy this First Response test BTW, it sucks) and it gave me only one solid line a really faint second line - so faint I really did not notice until I tilted the stupid test but it was so faint I just threw it out and thought I was not pregnant and was really annoyed. I was really crampy so I was certain my period was just late and it was coming any day. But when my period still did not come almost 10 days later I took other tests and they confirmed I was pregnant!!! I am currently 6 weeks. Me and hubby are going our prenatal checkup in a couple of days to hopefully hear the heart beat and do genetic testing. Very very excited. This product worked like a charm. Worth EVERY penny! P.S. -- I'm still very crampy and very very bloated but it's worth it. VS Most Liked Negative Review Helpful Technology (Maybe More! TBD!) This product is fine and certainly helpful. Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: My husband and i started trying for a baby 3 months ago. For the first 2 cycles, i relied on the internet ovulation calculators and we had sex on the days it told us i was supposedly ovulating. After 2 cycles of not getting pregnant, i thought we;d try the clear blue fertility monitor as had heard good reviews. So the next month we used the monitor. I did not get a high day until day 20, followed by 2 peak days on days 21 and 22 and then a high on day 23. So i panicked for the first 19 days when it continued to say low, thinking there was something wrong with me. when i finally got my peaks,i worried this was too late in my cycle to ovulate. Nevertheless we give it our best shot! SUCCESS!! Found out last week that i am pregnant, and am now 6 weeks pregnant and thrilled. The monitor worked the first month we used it. So my advice to anyone trying to conceive is to BUY THIS MONITOR! it takes all the guesswork out of it! Good luck ladies - baby dust to you all! Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: I used this monitor for about 8 months. The last month I used it, I received a low result (meaning no egg was released.) I did release an egg that month and we are now pregnant. Keep trying (Like you haven't heard that before), don't rely on this monitor and don't get discouraged if you get a funky result from it. Good Luck! Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: I am 34 and went off the pill December of '08 so my husband and I could TTC. I had been on the pill for 5 years. I also suffer from Vulvodynia, which makes intercourse painful. So knowing when to "do it" is better/easier for me than trying all the time. Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: We had been trying to get pregnant for about one year without success. I purchased this on a whim. We thought perhaps there was an underlaying fertility problem, but as the monitor showed us, our timing was off. Within 2 months of starting to use this monitor I was pregnant. Honestly worth every penny, eventhough test sticks are expensive. Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: I swore I would write a review if this works and here I am! I just found out I was pregnant on the 3rd month of trying with the monitor. We had been trying for many months without luck and let me tell you, you will learn a lot about your cycles from this. I have 35+ day periods and never knew that I ovulate around day 22 or later. This is so easy to use and really works. Don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen the first month or two. My husband has a wild work schedule and I have some months where I travel a lot for work so it makes 'trying' a little more difficult. At least with this machine we knew we were doing things at the right time. Also, just an fyi..because I have long periods I sometimes had to use 20 test sticks instead of 10 in a cycle which stinks because it costs more money, but let me say its well worth it. Good luck!!! Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: I bought this product because I have extremely long cycles. My cycle averages 40 days. I was using a basal thermometer and temping to try to predict when I ovulate, but never could get the timing right due to my long, crazy cycles. Well, the very first cycle I used this, I got pregnant! After a year and a half of trying, I finally had my BFP!!!!! I would definetly recommend this to anyone that has long cycles and is having a hard time conceiving. Well worth the money! Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: We had been trying for about 9 months and decided to use up our FSA money at the end of the year by buying this monitor and enough test sticks to try for 6 months. We started in February and it was very easy to use and read but we didn't get pregnant. In March, I kept showing "low" when I should have been "high" or "peak" but finally I ovulated a week late. And then my period started 2 weeks from then. I'm usually a 28 or 30 day person but this time I was 35! Not the machine's fault, just my body was crazy. Then I was testing in April and went from "low" to "peak" in one day! We tried the night before "peak" came and the following night. I am now 7 weeks pregnant! The machine was able to find out my fertile days even though I am hardly "regular." Happy to be expecting in December! Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: This is my first month using the monitor and I was suprised to see that my "egg" peak days were 12 and 13 on a 28 day cycle. I'm still doing reseach on the accuracy of this product as I'm interested in finding out how effective it is to have intercourse on the 2nd peak day. Please advise is you know. Hubby and I are very excited and hopefully we are blessed with little feet very soon. Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: I am 38 yo, and I had a Mirena removed almost a year ago, and I still had not begun having regular cycles! I bought this device because it had such good reviews, and because I could be reimbursed for it via flexible-spending money. The device TOTALLY worked the first month I could use it. I was totally shocked. The day that the 'egg' symbol appeared on the screen, my husband and I had intercourse, and we conceived. It was that easy. Even without flexible-spending money available, it is worth every penny. I was never patient or diligent enough for BBT monitoring, mucous monitoring, and other fertility monitoring test sticks ... but this device makes all of the other methods unnecessary. It's worth the money. Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: Don't buy this - the [$] monitor plus[$]another for 30 test strips is a rip off, the monitor itself is totally unnecessary and does not even work correctly. I tried this for two month, and although I was ovulating this very expensive monitor never showed it - my OBGYN recommended to get a regular cheap ovulating kit: I used: Answer Daily Ovulation Tracker - [$], 20 strips one month supplies, no batteries needed, and you can read it easy of the strip.. save your money!
