I am a rather impatient person and like to be in control of certain things in my life (yes, Type A personality). Anyhow, I was 34 when me and my husband started trying to conceive beginning in June 2009 during our 1st year wedding anniversary in the Caribbean. Anyhow, I thought I knew my body like clockwork and that I ovulated on the 14th day of my cycle. WRONG. We tried in June and July during the 5 days before and up to what I thought was when I was ovulating (even planned our anniversary trip around those days). When we did not get pregnant during those 2 months I started freaking out. He's 41 and I was 34 so I thought we were screwed. Then something told me to look into getting a fertility monitor so I purchased this one. I was so annoyed when I opened the box to see that I had to start between the 1st and 5th day of my cycle. By the time I purchased the darn thing I was already on day 7. Being the impatient person that I am (I could not wait until the next month to start using it --- sorry), I just pretended I was on day 5 of my cycle and started using the darn thing. I figured I'd know I was 2 days off and the monitor would catch up on the next go around if we did not succeed during the first time. During the first 16 days of my cycle (according to the monitor) I was at "low" fertility. I started freaking out since, like I stated previously, I thought day 14 was my peak. Then, I got 2 high fertility days on days 17 and 18, followed by 2 peak days on days 19 and 20, respectively. Hence, I ovulated on day 20, which blew my mind. That was also my 35 birthday, which was sort of funny. Me and my husband made sure to have intercourse on virtually all of the high and peak days (especially my birthday of course), although we did skip one day because we both were dead tired from a late night workout. Anyhow, my cycle was 28 days as usual and I did not get my period on the 28th day. So I took one of those First Response (early results) test the day after my period was due (DON'T buy this First Response test BTW, it sucks) and it gave me only one solid line a really faint second line - so faint I really did not notice until I tilted the stupid test but it was so faint I just threw it out and thought I was not pregnant and was really annoyed. I was really crampy so I was certain my period was just late and it was coming any day. But when my period still did not come almost 10 days later I took other tests and they confirmed I was pregnant!!! I am currently 6 weeks. Me and hubby are going our prenatal checkup in a couple of days to hopefully hear the heart beat and do genetic testing. Very very excited. This product worked like a charm. Worth EVERY penny! Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: I got this monitor after trying to conceive my 2nd baby for 3 months. I had read so many wonderful reviews about this monitor that I had to try it despite how expensive it is. The 1st month the monitor gave me only LOW readings for 20 tests. I was nervous something was wrong but the 2nd month I got HIGH on day 14 and PEAK on day 15. I was so excited. I had also begun charting BBT and I will say that according to my chart I had ovulated the day BEFORE the peak day. As everyone says, it takes 3 months for the monitor to "get to know you" and this was true in my case too. The 3rd month, my monitor showed HIGH day 13 & PEAK day 14 and according to my chart I ovulated on day 15. My temps stayed up a few days longer than usual and I took an HPT this morning and got a BFP:) I am so excited:) The monitor is worth it even for people with very regular cycles b/c it will put your mind at ease. Definitely use this monitor in combination with charting and you will know EXACTLY when you are going to ovulate as well as be able to confirm that ovulation did occur.  Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: We were trying for #2 for several months (about 6) without success, got pregnant the first month we used this. I had trouble figuring out time of ovulation using BBT and cheaper fertility testing methods- overall worth the money. BUT...for [$]they could give you some type of carrying case (it was a pain in the butt trying to contain it, and the booklet, etc in the cardboard box and make sure it doesnt get wet!). And, throw in a few test sticks, again for [$]- it irritated me off to then have to spend another $50 for sticks (of which I barely used any since it worked so fast!). Happy with the product, just being picky. Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: I am very impatient and when I tried for few months to get pregnant and it didn't happen I was determined to find a fast solution. I ordered the fertility monitor and started using it on day 5 of my cycle. The monitor read low fertility until day 12 when it displayed high fertility. I had intercourse the first day it read high (day 12) and planned on doing it again as soon as the monitor displayed peak fertility. The monitor continued to display high fertility everyday and never changed to peak, so as I kept waiting I missed my oppurtunity during this cycle. I called the company and a customer service rep told me this is normal and that it would be more accurate next month. My period never showed up and 3 HPT's read positive. It has been 7 weeks since my LMP and I haven't been to the Dr. yet but as of right now I think the fertility monitor was a pretty good investment! Pros

Before I used this, I thought I ovulated at Day 14 but it was actually Day 17...so I was trying at the wrong time! Unfortunately, I miscarried last week. But I will be using this as soon as my doctor gives me the go-ahead to try again. Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: This worked like a CHARM! I had badly wanted to get pregnant, and felt like my body was just playing tricks on me. I knew the days I was (supposedly) ovulating based on all sorts of tracking.... and couldn't figure out what the problem was. Every month when I got my period I cried because I felt my body betrayed me. Then someone suggested this monitor and told me they got pregnant the first month they used it. Turns out I wasn't even close on the days I thought I was ovulating. And the second month using it I got a positive pregnancy test. This is wonderful because it not only tells you ovulation, but also high fertility days. So you really increase your chances. I am due in June and couldn't be more excited!!!!! Spend the money on this! I tried the ovulation sticks... and they don't work! I never got an "ovulating" sign on those.. but THIS WORKS! Pros

If I could go back now, I would have bought this monitor the very first month I started trying! The cost was a huge factor in my decision to wait on buying it, but don't let that deter you. It is well worth it! I started using the monitor on my fourth month of trying, and no luck. But on my fifth month, it worked, and I was so excited to finally see a positive pregnancy test this morning. The monitor is so easy to use, and it made me feel more in control of the process of getting pregnant. Both months, it clearly told me when I was ovulating, which took all of the guesswork out of it. Like I said, if I could go back, I would have bought it at the very beginning. So stop second guessing your decision to buy this monitor. Do it today. You will not regret it. Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: This is the greatest product known to man for trying to conceive! It worked both times we used it. I got pregnant with my son the first month it showed I ovulated, and I got pregnant with my daughter the second time around on the third month it showed I ovulated. I had to use fertility drugs both times and this machine is a God sent! I highly reccomend this to everyone. Crossing my fingers for the third time around. Pros

Comments about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, 1 ea: I agree with the last review. I have used the CBEFM for 2 months and have not yet conceived. I've BDed on both peak days during month #1 and 3 high days and the 2nd peak day on month #2. I do think the monitor is accurate at detecting the lh surge. What I am confused about is WHEN ovulation occurs AFTER the lh surge - is it really 36 hours?? In month #3 I'll be sure to BD on ALL high and peak days, including the high day after the 2 peak days since ovulation occurs after the lh surge. Displaying reviews 81-90
