I went on the net to find something to help me get rid of my very dark sun damage. I just happened to take a peek in here; I read a few of the commets and I figured, it wouldn't hurt. It did more than I expected....it healed my skin and then, in a few weeks, I found my normal face again. I'm not saying this will work for everyone but, I'm very happy. Based on the label information, I have come to believe that it is a combination of ingredients that makes up the mysterious "6%, hydroquinone (the primary lightening agent) just being one of them, and in an undisclosed amount. That aside, I would still not recommend this product because it is so thick that it cannot be distributed around the face without thinning it with something. Even then it is difficult and leaves your face a heavy petrolatum slick for hours (think Eucerin consistency). I would search for these active ingredients in an easily absorbed serum or light cream. Plus, a sunblock of at least 30 SPF is supposed to be used with this, and all skin lighteners, but who can slather another layer of anything atop this product? Comments about Clinicians Complex 6% Skin Bleaching Cream, 2 oz: I would definitely not recommend this for anyone's face but I switched to using it on my hands right before bed and it has lightened some stubborn dark spots. It is VERY thick which does make it hard to put on and mine oxidized quite quickly & it's smelly but frankly hydroquinone is the only ingredient that truly lighten's dark sun spots(I have tried EVERYTHING)-it always smells. I agree that they should be more accurate in the labeling as another reviewer said the "6% bleaching" is very ambiguous and it doesn't indicate what % the hydroquinone is. I'm not sure if it's from the little bit of product you get in a bottle, or if my skin is too dark for it. I just know I am unsatisfied and not pleased with this product. Comments about Clinicians Complex 6% Skin Bleaching Cream, 2 oz: I originally purchased this product to lighten certain areas on my face and chest, but found that it not only lightens the dark spots, but it also brightens the entire face and leaves it with a healthy glow! You definitely have to use it with a powerful sunscreen, and the consistency is the hardest part; but the results are what's most important. You have got a customer for life!
