We use this giraffe every day for naps and at night for bed time. My son likes the heartbeat sound (it's more of a womb sound). We played with all the sounds when we first got it and were putting him to sleep, as soon as we got to the heartbeat he fell right asleep. Since we use it so much we've replaced the batteries once, and will probably change them again in a few weeks (my son's 3 1/2 mo). I love the Velcro strap, it makes it really easy to take along, or to make sure it stays attached to the crib.

As all other Cloud B white noise products, the heart beat is awful. But the others are nice and, in this case, very original because there are play sounds besides the usual relaxing ones.

This was a baby shower gift. I just received a thank you note from the new mom and she said she loves it, and is sure the baby will love it as well.

Since this is a present I won't be able to judge how useful it is until after the holidays. I purchased it in hopes that it would help the baby to sleep at night. Even if it doesn't do the job, it is still cute and goes with the nursery theme. The price is great compared to store prices.

Wow, what a sweet item this giraffe is :)
Very, very soft.
It has a velcro strap attached at the neck (backside) so if you wanted to you could place it on a bed post or crib slats and it will stay put.
The box containing the sounds has an adjustable knob for volume; the loudest it will go is not shocking or startling-so not much of a concern if someone turned it all the way up.
The 4 sounds are nice; there is a heartbeat, a waterfall, a jungle or savanna safari type beat, and another sound that is quieter and what I would imagine a rain forest would sound like during the day.
The waterfall (Victoria Falls) sound is the one we mostly use; it can be likened to white noise and is just the thing when silence doesn't lend itself to falling asleep.
There is a small opening in back to access the volume dial and sound settings. Also a timer for up to 25 minutes (please check the product description for accuracy on this; ours does have an option for timed shut-off)
Overall this is a beautiful item, and it is useful and comforting.
You can remove the sound box if you want.
The giraffe is very soft and made well.
The eyes are sleeping :)
It is worth mentioning I have never been disappointed with a product from Cloud B.

I'm thinking about getting another one to have at my house for when my Grandson visits! It is great for calming him down and he usually goes to sleep listening to the heart-beat setting.

This Giraffe is so soft and snuggly. My Granddaughter loves hearing it, and falls asleep everytime it plays next to her. It fits into my home decor, and I even enjoy holding it next to my cheek, listening to it. A must for all babies.

I bought this as a baby shower gift for a child that is not born yet. I have taken it out of the package and tried it out. Like reviews on other sites, i found it as advertised, cute, soft, and well made.The sound divice is seperate and needs to be inserted into a little space in the back of the giraffe. It could be left out later when the child grows old enought to play with stuffed animals. The sounds are nice (except the heart beat, which is weird). You can choose the sounds that most appeals to you or your baby.It has a timer with two lengths on it to choose from. I think the parents of this child will be pleased with it and I wish I had something like this when my kids were little. I saw this initially on another site for $6 dollars more [...] so I felt that the Drugstore had the best price [...]
