He has a thick undercoat and his coat is almost "duck" like in that water does repel off his fur. Product lathers and rinses well. He's just a puppy, so the quicker I can get his bath time over with, the better. After his bath, his coat feels clean and he smells great. It's just the right scent, not too overpowering. I sometimes have to bathe him 4 times in a week. He hasn't developed any skin irritations, so I guess the product is really mild. I also have 2 long-haired dogs, but prefer to use shampoo with a separate conditioner. They get pretty stinky and this stuff works like magic on their smell. It leaves their coats really shiny and manageable. It is worth the price, I promise. Will buy it as long as they make it! She's four and a half month old, and can get pretty stinky running around outside in the mud and with other dogs at the dog park. I've bathed her within two weeks of her last bath with Buddy Wash.
