The scent is the same as the Clubman original after shave lotion, but lighter. It is a great value and it cleans and rinses out quickly. No residue or heavy scent lingering after rinsing. Try it you'll like it!

I wonder how this product has these many good reviews, it dries my hand very badly after application so I can only imagine the damage it can do to my hair. It's just too harsh, if you are looking for a volumizing shampoo, Progaine or Redken Densify are far better but costlier choices.

This shampoo has a classic scent that's not overpowering. It lathers well so a little goes a long way, and rinses clean. I'm not one who needs to use the latest well advertised products, only ones that work. Wish I would have known about this product sooner.

The size of a quarter is all I need to use. It lathers up real well, cleans without drying, leaves a nice shine and has a pleasant smell. The bottle will last a long time. I enjoy their product line very much.

I've used this for years and love it. Great scent, but not heavy. I have not been able to find it in local stores, so I was delighted when I found it here, also at a great price. They make a great old-fashioned shave cream as well, same great scent.

Use this product every day, and it does not dry my hair out at all. Leaves it feeling really thick. Good stuff.

This is an excellent product. I think the original formulation came out in the 1960's when shampoos graduated from being strong liquid soaps, to something better for hair. Read the ingredients and you will find it to have the basic cleansing formulations with some other added thickeners and hair protectors - not too much beyond that, which is good.

Since that time, a lot of curious chemical enhansements have been added to shampoos and turned them into complicated foo foo concoctions.

The Clubman shampoo is the type of shampoo that your cool twenty something uncle with a handlebar mustache and porkchop sideburns would have used in the 1960's or 1970's. His hair looked clean and well groomed, but not overdone. Of course, at that time, he probably couldn't get Clubman shampoo unless he got if from the barbershop.

This is a nice shampoo. It cleanses and makes the hair seem just a little thicker, richer, and maybe even younger. Don't buy it with the expectation of it thickening your hair, but if you do buy it, you will understand the subtle quality it provides.
