Look, I've been using this toothpaaste for almost 20 years. I'm almost 55 and have -0- cavities. That's says enough.
But, Colgate has decided to stop making this product in favor of their "Total" series of toothpastes. They are all aweful, and have some pretty nasty things in them (that you shouldn't want in your mouth); plus, they make people's tongues numb and unable to taste anything for up to an hour after use. When I can't find this toothpaste anymore, I'm afraid I will be leaving Colgate's products. A shame, really...
Ad: 99.5% of the population does NOT need flouride, and is actually poisonous to most.
Tom's, as aweful as it tastes, is likely my next choice unless Colgate gets their act together.

I could not wait until my first tube of Colgate Tartar Protection Whitening, Crisp Mint Paste was gone. I had gone from a gel to this and I could not get used to the taste or texture of paste. HOWEVER, after I started noticing a REAL difference in the whiteness of my teeth I became a believer. I smoke and drink coffee and DIet Coke daily, stains are always a concern for me. I am now done with my second tube and my teeth are much whiter than before. And it's not just polished white - it has removed tarter and prevented it. Give it a chance - it may grow on you...

This is my new favorite toothpaste. It cleans really well and seems to be eliminating the stains I get from coffee. I like the mint flavor - it is enough to freshen without being overpowering. It is hard to find with all the Colgate Total formulas out there, so I stock up when I can.

I love this toothpaste! I am obsessed with having white teeth. The dentist was amazed when I told him that I do not use any other whitening product other than this toothpaste. I drink a lot of coffee and soda, and this product really does whiten teeth!
Adults and children 2 years of age and older: brush teeth thoroughly, preferably after each meal or at least twice a day, or as directed by a dentists or physician.
Children 2 to 6 years: use only a pea-sized amount and supervise child's brushing and rinsing (to minimize swallowing).
