So I used it. While waiting to get this stinky stuff out of my hair - which it said required at least 20 min.s of rinsing - What the ?? - I was reading further down in the "Additional tips" section, where in the very last sentence it said it would not work on pinks, blues, purples ect. Great -[$] down the drain. Literally. Should we be informed of this BEFORE purchasing?? Shouldn't that be in the description on the box and on the web site?? Ah, YES!! [*]. Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover, Extra Conditioning, 1 Application: It removed the last color applied to my hair, and most of the color on greys. It was a little drying to my hair, so I used a conditioning mask after this product. It is a little messy. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover, Extra Conditioning, 1 Application: I loved this! I had dyed my hair a very intense blood red from blonde. I hated it! I looked like a clown. My stylist told me about Color Oops and I just had to get it! It took about 30 minutes to apply and 35 to rinse. My hair is now back to it's natural blonde and I am in love with the results. I do have a few cons though... It smells AWFUL! And the smell doesn't go away until 2 days or more later. Then it made my hair really dry, so I had to apply a healing treatment to it. Other than that, GREAT product! <3

Both will take whatever color that you have and remove a percentage of it; how much depends on how long you leave it in, how much dye you used, the condition of your hair, etc.I have had my hair dyed up to 5 different colors in a mix of MP and Splat several times, and their own products have worked on all the coloring enough to let me dye it whatever color I want, even going from purple to a light shade like yellow. I don't know why this product will not work on "wild" colored hair, but it clearly says this in the packaging, so I wouldn't waste my time or money ( or risk my hair) to test it. Both Splat and MP will fade the color enough to let you dye it whatever color that you want, except maybe white, which takes several more steps...

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover, Extra Conditioning, 1 Application: I've done this twice because the first time I was afraid to leave it on the full 20 minutes. On the second application I figured out it was MUCH easier and less messy to do this over a tub or sink into a plastic bowl. That way you can comb it through and pour it back through your hair before gathering it into the plastic cap.

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover, Extra Conditioning, 1 Application: I dyed my medium ash blonde hair a "medium natural brown", everything was great until 4 weeks later the color had faded, so i apply another box to the roots then the rest. my natural highlights in the front took the dye too much and it was almost black, and the roots were light, and the rest turned out like the box again. I used color ops after watching my mother in law use it on her super gray hair. the first application took my hair back to the first coloring. after a week i'm ready to strip the ends. it smells fine, just crack a window.

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover, Extra Conditioning, 1 Application: I have been in the "red" family for close to 30 years- varying shade, brightness etc. Well due to monetary constraints, I started doing my own roots etc. Well I picked up a product that looked great on the cover- and all I can say is my grey roots looked great, but the rest of my hair picked up this awful ashy dark (it was supposed to be a light golden red blond) color. Well I gave it a month to get better- maybe slightly, then decided to give 'color oops' a try. I had my daughter assist me,which helped. I then washed and rinsed like crazy (good thing I had a chair in my shower)the results came out great. A pretty light red which I would have kept, except that I have too much grey to not cover. I gave myself a protein treatment, and the next day I colored my hair. It came out fantastic - no dark color pulling, shiny and healthy. So all in all, I wholeheartedly recommend this, and if I needed too, would buy it again.

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover, Extra Conditioning, 1 Application: Ok so this may be a little long but I wanted to put a review up about the Color Oops. It's been a full 24 hours and this is what has happened:The shortened back story of my hair history is that I've dyed it for years myself, every natural color possible (blondes, reds, browns and black). In the past two months I started out as a light blonde and wanted to go to a dark blonde because I am sick of frying and dying. My hair has become damaged, dry, and breaking on me because of it. So I used the Perfect Ten Dark Blonde.. My hair turned out dark blonde on the roots then turned green on me on the rest of the hair! So I unfortunately didn't know about this stuff at the time and thought that I'd have to throw red in it to get it to look decent again and I put L'Oreal Preference Red Brown in it.. the roots were changed into the red brown then the rest of my hair was a golden light brown.. So being stupid I threw in ANOTHER permanent color.. This time L'Oreal Preference Mahogany Brown (basically dark red but with brown tones). This made it SUPER dark, not black but a dark brown with red tones… I hated it. I missed my blonde. All I wanted was to dye it back to dark blonde or a light brown so I could grow it out without having to really touch it up (my hair is naturally this color). What a disaster. So I waited and left it alone, deep conditioning every other day and hoping it would fade pretty or something (yea, I know, a LONG shot right?) Well almost 3 weeks went by, my roots grew in again and my roots from when I last dyed it were this deep orange-red, then it went to a dark brown/red, and my mid-shaft to my ends were a medium brown/red. So I got fed up. I knew I couldn't bleach it (cause my hair was already damaged), I was irrationally thinking, "JUST SHAVE IT ALL OFF!!", and then I got on the web. I remember seeing Color Oops along with some of its competitors.. The 'Hair Color Remover' from L'Oreal (which is basically bleach in a less evil form I take it) and the Color Zap at Sally's Beauty Supply which is the same as the L'Oreal Hair Color Remover. Well I went on [@], other store sites, even [...] and READ. The reviews were mostly raving for the Color Oops with some having not so great results but most were good. So I said to myself, "I'll give it a shot, if it doesn't work or my hair starts to fall out, I WILL shave it!" Stomach churning in fear, I bought two boxes of the 'extra strength' Color Oops (You will need at least 2 if you have long hair or in my case long & thick, just over my shoulders length, hair). There's a 'conditioning' version but I didn't see it at the store and I had read in the reviews that since I had waited 3 weeks it probably was a good idea to use the extra strength version. The process is simple mixing. I used the bottles given to mix then transferred to a bowl and used a bleaching/dye brush.. I find it easier that way to coat ALL my hair. The smell didn't bother me, it was like going to a salon and someone getting a perm basically. Same smell - to me anyways. It is very thin – like water going on. Once you coat your hair I recommend you massage it all in and possible try using a wide tooth comb to work it through all the ends to really make sure you are coating it all. I set mine for 20-25 minutes and by that time my hair was visibly lifted from that icky mixed dark reddish brown color to a brassy blonde.. I was a little worried because I didn't buy a backup hair dye since I didn't know if this would even really work.RINSING IS IMPORTANT. Honestly, I shampooed with a clarifying shampoo that probably dried it out more than the product itself. I figured it would help strip off those dye molecules though. I rinsed for 5 minutes, shampooed vigorously, rinsed for another 5 minutes and repeated 3 more times… Yes I know it's a pain and your arms will go numb by the end of this but for what I stepped out've the shower with IT WAS WORTH IT!!! I was a little skeptical from my results because I had some reviews saying their hair lightened but only got darker as the hours progressed… this is why I waited 24 hours to write this up. However, this didn't happen to me probably because I overly scrubbed and used a CLARIFYING shampoo – TRUST ME THAT WILL HELP!!Sooo… my results… basically my natural color back!! It still has some red tones in it (but VERY little). It is now a gorgeous dark blonde. I'm really in love with it and my roots that had grown out over the last few weeks of not coloring were not bothered by the Color Oops. It all blends in beautifully. A few final thoughts: I will not sugar coat it, if you have damaged hair this WILL dry it out so be prepared with a DEEP protein packed conditioner. However, I think it was more so the extensive rinsing and shampooing that does that to everyone's hair.. not the product itself. You MUST rinse it good though, and USE a clarifying shampoo it will help make sure the dye beads will rinse out better because it strips you're hair some. People have mentioned using filler… I did buy the "Neutral Protein Filler" from Sally's (they are tiny bottles so I got three) and I used that afterwards with some water as a leave in.. it helps with the porosity of your hair. Believe me, you WILL need that even if you don't re-dye. Of which, I did not do. I am leaving it alone for now and growing it out. Thank you Color Oops!!!

Best Uses Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover, Extra Conditioning, 1 Application: I first saw the advertisment for "Color Oops" in a magazine, I have been dying my hair with over the counter permanent dye since I was 13 years old. And boy have I had MANY Color Oops through the years! I truly wish they would have had this product out then for it works like magic! I had recently dyed my hair a reddish-brown and since my roots had grown out some they turned orange but the rest of my hair looked black this was horrible! Since I had used over th counter hair dye remover before I did not want to try it again due to the fact that it weakend my hair very badly. So when I saw the ad for "Color Oops" I figured I would give it go once I did some research on it, I now swear by this product, It will really fix all your color oops!!!!!! It did mine!
