Cons Best Uses Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover, Extra Strength, 1 Application: I just finished using this product and I am elated with the results! I normally have light golden blond hair. For some reason I decided to try a new product, though the same light gold blonde shade, and my hair turned out an ugly ashy greenish gray color. I went to my hairdresser who said she could reverse it with brown gold highlights over a light gold blond base. It looked worse than before because the ashy green remained with streaks of a dark brown now. I found this product on this site and drove 40 miles to find it at a [@]. Today I am a gold blond again....no additional coloring needed! I used about 2/3 of the product on my shoulder length fine hair and I watched it as it changed the color. At only 10 minutes I rinsed and washed and conditioned per the directions. Perfection. Thanks to the makers of this amazingly effective product!By the way, the smell did not bother me at all, and my hair and house have no lingering smell. I'm not sure where all of the smell complaints come from.

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover, Extra Strength, 1 Application: I used a hair dye specifically for dark hair on my black asian hair and it turned my roots a brown and the rest of my hair was the same. It looked weird so I got color opps! I just used it right now and washed and dried my hair and it came out a to nice medium brown! I was so pleasantly surprised it worked! It came out a bit uneven but it still looks really good. I followed directions carefully so make sure to follow them! I also wrapped my head with the plastic hairnet that was given, along with a towel to keep heat in.

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover, Extra Strength, 1 Application: Back story: I have naturally dark brown hair, which I had lightened to medium brown. It started getting brassy and I had dark roots coming in, so I decided to color it dark brown to get closer to my natural color. Well, the color on the box was WAY off and my hair was JET black. Not a good look for me. So, I purchased this product to remove the last color I applied. Yes, it stinks to high heaven... but IT WORKS! I didn't rinse it quite as long as directed, but it removed all of the black hair color. To my surprise, after the next two shampoos my color was actually back to it's original color! The product removed my last 2 colorings, so I have my natural color back! Cannot say enough about this product!

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover, Extra Strength, 1 Application: I normally just touch-up my dark roots to maintain my light blonde haircolor. I made the mistake of using a different haircolor brand/color over all my hair and ended up with hideous gray/green hair. I researched possible fixes online and several people mentioned how great this product is. I decided I had to try it because nothing else I had tried worked. Within the first 5 minutes of having this on my hair, I could already see the gray/green disappearing! I didn't even need to use a haircolor afterwards...it is perfect as is! THANK YOU to the makers of this product!!! It is AWESOME and I highly recommend it!!!

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover, Extra Strength, 1 Application: I used this to try to remove a recent lighter color and the dark, bad color before that, in an effort to get back to zero. None were lighter than my natural color, so no bleaching was done. It's a little runny, a little smelly, but not that bad. I got impatient and rinsed and shampooed the minimum amount of recommended time because I got stir crazy. It says the more rinsing, the better. I don't know exactly what it did to my hair, which ended up being a new shade overall, although better than what I had, with all my natural shading in there. I am waiting about a week to recolor because I felt it was little rough on my hair, which kind of smelled like burning the first couple days afterward. I used a heavy duty protein leave-in conditioner also.

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover, Extra Strength, 1 Application: Ok folks! This product has saved me more than once. The negative reviews on here seem to indicate that the user didn't thoroughly read the directions or they would know:1. Sometimes it takes more than one box to fully remove color.2. It might not go back to your original hair color because the hydrogen peroxide from the previous hair color lifted your natural color, hence the orange, yellow or whatever.3. You should use a protein reconstructor in between using color oops and recoloring your hair to reduce the porosity of your now fragile hair, so it doesn't pull too much new color when you re-dye.4. You may need to use a color corrector like unred or something similar to tone down orange/red tones before you recolor (if you do't know what this, go to [...] and ask).5. Thank Goodness for this product; otherwise you'd be shelling out big bucks plus tip for the same process at a salon. 6. Research is your friend. Google your questions and info about hair color removal and recoloring before attempting it.THANK YOU, COLOR OOPS!

Best Uses Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover, Extra Strength, 1 Application: Don't use this product. I read everyone else's reviews thinking I was going to be very satisfied. Well the total opposite happened. I died my hair and it turned out black when I wanted dark brown. So I used color oops. It looks terrible!!!!!!!! The top of my hair looks orange and the rest of my hair is dark brown and some of the black is still there. So I have streaky blotchy hair everywhere. I followed the directions to the T. But the results are horrible. Now I'm going to a professional.

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover, Extra Strength, 1 Application: I have SHORT, THICK hair and this product covered all my hair with some left over! I have dyed my hair black three times within the past six months or so. I cant believe the oops worked this good! My hair is now wayyyyy lighter and is more of a meduim brown, I also have grays (im only 20, its a family trait) and it didnt do anything funky to them which I was nervous it would. I have had products turn my grays funky colors before! This product is wonderful! I hope they continue to make it! My hair does not feel any dryer than it was before and I left it on for 25-30 min but I dont recamend that for everyone (i have really thick strong hair!). PLEASE READ THE DIRECTIONS THOUGH ESPECIALLY ABOUT THE SHAMPOO PART ITS IMPORTANT! I hope this review helps!

Comments about Color Oops Hair Color Remover, Extra Strength, 1 Application: So I had this bright idea to dye my hair bright red since its the only color under the sun I haven't been. Well my roots turned pink and the rest was a dark cherry cokish color. Not fun! So I ran out this morning and bought color oops extra strength. It removed all the color froms my ends leaving me a brasy gold but the pink in my roots remained( I figured this would happen as the directions say it won't lift bright colors like pinks blues greens etc.) any ways I redid it about two hours ago and my hair came out all an even golden color. YOUR HAIR WILL BE A BRASSY COLOR NO MATTER WHAT! Box dyes use peroxide to lighten the hair before depositing so your hair will be brassy. Any who I used a golden light brown to re color. I applied to my roots first for 10 minutes and then added the rest of the dye to my ends for 4 minutes and rinsed. do not leave the dye in your ends longer than 5 minutes because it will grab the color too quick and go way too dark. my tips for using the color oops is make sure you rinse for atleast 20-30 minutes to remove all the old dye after using the color oops. then when re-dying do your roots first when it gets close to the color you want add the dye to the ends wait no more than 5 minutes and rinse. go a few shades lighter too because it will grab a bit darker. yes it stinks but ugly hair stinks worse
