I have long (past shoulders), thick, coarse hair and I didn't have any problem running it though my hair like some others have said. I just made sure to thoroughly brush and comb my hair first. It was easy to use and not messy at all. I tried only using half a bottle of hair color and it worked pretty well. The tip fit on my Clairol Balsom bottle perfectly. Clean up was not hard either. As soon as I finished I filled the bottle with HOT water and shook vigorously and then sqeezed water through the comb part. Just a couple of times is all it took to get it clean. I also thought that my root touch-up was much better blended in, not as noticable as usual. The only problem I had with this item is that I noticed some missed spots on the back of my head, may have been my fault. Maybe with some more practice I will do better. As you squeeze the bottle it is difficult to control where the dye goes. It gets everywhere including the parts of your hair that don't need to be colored! I imagine if you want to comb the color through your hair each time, it would work. I am always willing to try new things - especially if they make my life easier. Best Uses Comments about Comb-A-Color Quick Haircolor Applicator, 1 ea: I was hoping this would help speed up the process of using Sante Herbal Haircolor (henna haircolors). But once mixed it is such a thick, clumpy formula that it didn't squeeze through the tips of the bottle. Too bad! I'm sure it works nicely with creme haircolors.

Best Uses Comments about Comb-A-Color Quick Haircolor Applicator, 1 ea: I read such good reviews but sadly I was disappointed. It is messy and doesn't continue the color all the way down your hair. I think it squeezes out too easily. I would start at the root and squeeze lightly and it would start gushing out and dripping. But when I would continue pulling down it would just keep dripping all over and not cover my hair. No matter how slow and light pressure you use it still just squirts out and drips through the hair landing on the sink and floor. If it didn't gush out so fast it would be a great product. Til then I will continue to brush/spatula and foil.

SO much easier to apply color evenly and to pull it through my long hair, with a lot less waste. And the best part? The top fit perfectly on the bottle that came with my Natural Instincts coloring kit, so I didn't have to spend a lot of time transferring everything into this new bottle! Super-easy. And easy to clean, too, if you get to it right away -- something to do while you wait for your color to set. :)

Comments about Comb-A-Color Quick Haircolor Applicator, 1 ea: The directions were great.It does say to rinse with warm water and soap.But you must rinse it out at least 3-4 times.Just to make sure to get all the color out of the bottle.At least,the color doesn't stay in the comb area.That's a good thing.Overall,I love this product.That's why I bought 2 of them.I can no longer find it in store's.

For the price, I figured it was worth a shot. What a simple yet brilliant idea! It still drips a little so you do need to be careful, but now I'm actually able to get the back of my head as well as the front, which is great. Its VERY hard to get the dye out of the comb top. I'm going back to buying L'Oreal Excellence to get their bottle, and throw out their dye.
