I've had plantars warts since childhood, due to a lot of time spent at local pools. After an initial surgical removal by a podiatrist, which was unpleasant and failed to keep the warts from returning, I used liquid wart remover for years. It's messy and smells terrible. I then used a wart stick, which was cleaner, but totally ineffective - you can't pinpoint spots, it works slowly, and you end up removing large chunks of your skin.

This new gel product from Compound W is the best I've tried. It's easy to apply, can target just the wart area, has no smell, and dries relatively quickly. It also acted much faster than the other products I used (I'd say the warts were removed within a week). History tells me the warts will return (for life, perhaps), but at least this product will allow me to control them better.

Used a few other products prior to finding this product and nothing worked. This product works great. Easy to use, but make sure it is dry before putting on your socks or shoes. Works better than the band-aids or the pads.

I used this on a wart that appeared on the top of my hand. I'd never had one before and wasn't sure what to do. I bought this product and was amazed how fast it went away. I used it twice a day for several days. I hope I never get another one but if I do, I will DEFINITELY use this!

This does remove stubborn warts. It has a slightly odd mode of action. It kills the top layer of the wart w/ strong salicylic acid each day of use, but it doesn't wash off, even in the shower. The dead layer can't be removed by scrubbing w/ a cleaning cloth.

Instead, the way it works is that the product sticks to the wart and dries like a strong, waterproof glue. In order to remove the part of the wart killed, one has to peel the product off the wart. (The only way the product will come off.) The dead part sticks firmly to the product and is yanked off the still live part of the wart (or the underlying skin) each day of use. It usually causes slight bleeding and can be a little painful.

There is no way to use twice a day as directed. The warnings say not to use on "irritated" or "reddened" skin. It takes at least a day after each use to heal before it is safe to reapply.

The good thing about this product is that when dry it is so tough that it won't rub off on clothes or dissolve in sweat, so you don't need to bandage the area when it is on. You may need to bandage the spot each time you pull the product off, though. It does do the job and gradually remove the wart, and costs a lot less than surgical removal.

This product is GREAT! I had a localized problem area that I went to a dermatologist to get treated. After four or five uncomfortable freezing treatments there, the problem was actually getting worse. Each treatment was so expensive at the doctor, I really really wish I had bought this first. It took care of the problem in just two applications! I HIGHLY recommend this product, even to people like me with failed past treatments. You do have to remove the product from the affected area, which is painless and very easy with a pumice stone.

Out of all the wart medicines I have tried this one is definitely the best. It is less messy and has less of that nasty odor. It took me about a week to get rid of all my warts on the bottom of my feet. So glad I found this stuff!!

I like this stuff because you don't need to put a band-aid or anything on it. After I apply it, I just wait about a minute so it drys. This might sound odd but I use this for moles. It works on it too but the mole doesn't fall off, sorta just gets smaller and smaller with each use. I have used it on 3 so far and I'm about to use it on another.

Unlike those little dots that I don't know if they'd work because they don't stick, this product does work. It' just takes a while with repeated applications.

By the time I was diagnosed with a plantars wart on the bottom of my foot, it was large and painful. I tried the duct tape approach but it seemed that it made my wart multiply! I think that if you don't get an airtight seal, moisture gets trapped under the tape which is exactly what the plantars wart needs to grow. Kept falling off too. I tried the acid pads but my now mosaic wart was too big for the little pads. I then tried the Compound W fast acting gel. Well, it's easy to use and stays put! After a few days of application, I would soak my foot and gently pick at the wart with a tweezer. After about 3 weeks of this process my warts turned black and I was able to easily pull them right out. My skin has healed over the course of a week's time. I NEVER thought anything would rid me of these things. THANK YOU Compound W. Now that I know what these little buggers are, when (if) I notice one in the future, I will use the Compound W fast acting gel right away.
