Now will own three of these. Am ensuring I have them for yrs to come in case Conair discontinues. For fine, limp hair this product is a dream. It never burns since it has a heat control and shuts off if I forget. 1/2 inch is the correct size for long, fine hair.

The items that I received are a new version (Model CD81SCS) of this item. Big deal because the newer version is Crome, which dries out the hair and the older version is metal, which is much smoother and maintains the hairs shine.

This is my second Conair curling iron. Hard to find 1/2 ". My hair is short and coarse. The added benefit of turbo heat really makes it last.

Cheap won't get you too far when it comes to curling irons. This one is good for occasional use but regular curling just gets your hair damaged :( The barrel is not good material and the quality is just down the drain. I had to push my budget higher to get a Karmin G3 clipless curling iron but I'm so glad I did! Faster, smoother and shinier curls that didn't fall out within the hour like they did with this conair

I am on my second conair 1/2" barrel curling iron. The same thing (touchy on/off button) happens with this one as the first one. Both malfunctioned within a year and a half. It only goes on when it feels like it. I called Conair, and for $5 and I pay for the shipping, they will send me another one. I can purchase another one cheaper than that (which I won't). Has anyone else had this problem?

I have very fine short hair. Even with a permanent I use the Conair 1/2 inch curling iron. It heats up fast to any number of temperatures and turns off automatically if I forget to unplug it. It does not stick to my hair. It is absolutely the best curling iron I have ever owned. I buy two at a time so I always have a back up.

I sometimes curl it over sprayed hair but it curls best on cleaned hair. It curls well and holds it in all day. It is real reasonable in price and works excellent and for an inexpensive cost too. No need to spend way more on other curling irons.

When your hair is short, it's hard to find a small enough barrel with a good strong clamp to put quick curls in. This one is great!

it heats up very quickly, and stays that way. Very effect and I wish they were easier to find. Love the finished result.
