Like having two functions in one item. Straighten with flat iron and then curl the ends. Don't like where the open/close button is. Old one had it on the bottom middle while this one has it at the end. Have to be careful not to burn yourself. But even with that disadvantage I would buy it again for the convenience.

I tried to use this to straighten and curl my hair. My hair is medium thick and it wouldn't straighten at all. Curling forget about it!!! The top of it catches your hair and pulls it, the part where it curls doesn't clamp down enough and that maybe why it doesn't curl correctly. The only good part about this iron is it does heat up fast.

This curling/flat iron does neither. It's too big to make good curls, and it's very difficult to use it as a straightener without burning your forehead with the round barrels. Also, since there's no plastic covering, you can't sit the iron down anywhere without setting things on fire. UCK.

My hair is so thick and curly; I never thought I would find something that would actually work to straighten it until I tried this. I figured I would take a chance on it since it is also a curling iron and if it wouldn't straighten my hair, I could still curl with it. I was so surprised! It straightened my hair beautifully and it was shiny and smooth too. It straightened so well that I tried to curl the ends after straightening and they wanted to stay straight! It also has a turbo button on it that will give you more heat if you need it like I do. The only downsides I have found are that for one, you can't touch the outside or you will burn yourself which makes it a little tricky guiding it through your hair sometimes and also if your hair gets too close to the base of the iron, it can snag and pull a few strands. All in all though, I'm very pleased with this product!

I have had this product for about 6 months and while it is great for styling my hair, it is very cheaply made -- first the band for the heating fell off, and then the clip that keeps the straightener closed broke. But it works so well that I will be replacing it.

I've had this for a couple of weeks now and I really loved this. You do have to be careful when you straighten your hair because you can't really hold the outside of it when it is hot. I haven't burnt myself and I don't think I even will. My hair straightens out nicely and it comes out shiny. I have curled my hair 3 times now and they turned out beautifully! I wash my hair every other day and that is when I use this product. This should not be used everyday because you will ruin your hair!
