this was my first ever straightener i got several years ago... i had short & thick hair at the time and this was great,i didnt feel the need to buy one of those really expensive irons since this one worked so well . however as my hair got longer & thicker i had to switch to different flat iron,i now use elements (1 inch plates) .
this is a good start though for younger people with shorter hair styles!

I had to buy a replacement because my friend stole my hair straightener, she loved it so much! The removable comb is essential for getting your hair straight, as well as the temperature adjuster. I love that this straightener is easy to pack and it cools down quickly. Highly recommend getting one, especially if it is on sale.

I like this straightener because my hair is absolutely pin straight at first, but throughout the day it gradually gets flippy at the ends again. So annoying!! And plus it pulls your hair if you aren't careful. I would recommend this if you have fairly straight hair or hair that is easy to straighten.

I love this straightener, it works well. I have used other straighteners even the very expensive ones and all of them pull my hair. This is the ONLY one I have used that does not. It heats up quickly, gets hot, but not too hot, it has an adjustable heat range, and it even has a removable comb piece that attaches to the side of the plate. My friends have borrowed this and they said they love it too! You won't be disappointed.

I needed a dual voltage iron for travel, so I got this one. It's really light, which is nice. It doesn't seem to get as hot as my Chi, so it takes a bit longer to straighten. It's OK.

This flat iron does not work very well...
I mean it doesn't get very hot at all. After you flat iron it, it just goes back to being the way it is--for me, flippy and wavy.
Now my hair is pretty easy to flat iron, but this one doesn't do it.
Save your money. Buy a CHI.

I cannot live without my Conair Ceramic straightener! The secret to the shiny, straight hair is the ceramic on the hot plate. I've never owned one before, nor even used one. My nieces have a Chi~ mine works just as well! It arrived today, after reading the instructions, chose my setting and turned it on. Heated up in just moments, and worked wonderfully! My hair went from a curly perm to straight in less than 10 minutes! I was shocked. It was so fast, and my hair is shoulder length. My husband came home and was amazed as well. He's happy because I can have my hair looking wonderful in a lot less than an hour. It left my hair so shiny and soft.. and straight! I then used my other curling iron to turn the ends under just a bit, and my hair looked perfect! So if you want one that costs less than most others, this is the one.
