I have a bob and it puts just enough of a curl at the bottom to give a natural look. My daughter has very long hair and it puts a nice bend in her hair without it looking over curled. This is not the curling iron for you if you are looking for curly curls (the barrel is large for a soft curl). I don't like the auto-shut off, it is a great safety feature but it does shut off sometimes before I am done. It does re-heat almost instantly so it is annoying but not a deterant from keeping and loving it. VS Most Liked Negative Review I hate this. Very unsatisfied I hate it. It added shine to my hair though. But still I didn't get the curls I wanted I have a long hair which is at half of my back. I bought two other curling irons in stores hoping they would work and was so disappointed with the outcome. I bought it to replace my last Conair that finally broke after many years of service. It has a large barrel so you're not going to get tight curls. If smooth soft curls are what you want...this is the iron for you. I agree that the kickstand does get in the way when you're trying to use it. So I only use it when it's heating up. Then I fold it up & lay it one a towel. I think the secret to lasting curl is to apply gel before drying hair. Couldn't find this exact one in stores, so I purchased 2 others and returned them cause I didnt like them. Found this one on drugstore.com and was so excited! This is a wonderful product. It doesn't dry or burn my ends, it leaves a nice long lasting curl, and its various settings allow for minimal damage. I have used Conair products throughout my life time. It truly is worth the [$]considering a national "discount" chain was selling it for double.Drugstore.com has a customer for life!!!
