I admit, I'm addicted to using my heating pad... gotta have it! When I was younger I started using a heating pad because when I had cramps, the heat helped. Eventually I just started using the pad in the winter to keep warm and still do because we keep our heat low. But now I'm using it for arthritis pain I have in my hands (heberdeen nodules) and for the occasional neck, shoulder and back pains from the yard work, etc. So far this is the best heating pad I've been able to find. Every pad I've checked has had the auto-shut-off feature which I don't like, this one doesn't. The only thing I don't like about this pad is that there is only one setting, off and on
(I wish they would go back to making them with low, medium & high settings, though, you rarely need high). At times it can feel like it gets too hot and then I have to remove it for awhile and then when I put it back on it is normal again. As long as you don't sleep with it I think you'll be okay. I've been using mine for years and haven't had any problems.

I love to keep this at work, and use throughout the day. I love to run, but after sitting in my desk all day, my back is usually very sore. This is a great way to aleviate some of the soreness I feel! It's also great once the weather starts cooling off. Heats up very quickly.

The cord is very short so be sure there's an outlet close to where you'll use it. There are no temperature adjustments, just an on/off switch. Moist heat works great and it's padded for comfort.
