I purchased this 1 1/4 conair instant heat curling iron about 1 month ago. This is my first ever curling iron and i think that it is very affordable and the results are great. It gives me loose curls and with my hair type (thick, layerd, and medium hair) it lasts me the whole day! I gave this a 4 out of 5 stars because the instant heat is not really that instant. I think in my experience it takes about 1 min to heat up. But all in all this curling iron is perfect for my hair and I love it! <3

Curling iron heats fast, has multiple settings, easy to use. My short straight hair seems to hold curl better. Wish I'd gotten the 1 1/2 or 2 inch barrel, but 1 1/4 inch works good enough to smooth out my hair and add a little volume.

I wish I had purchased a 1" model rather than the 1.25" one. The barrel is so large that I don't get as much curl as I had hoped. And my arm gets tired of holding the wand after a few curls. But it does hold the hair to the wand well and when my hair gets longer, I think it will work better. I wouldn't suggest this one for short or medium length hair if you want springy curls.

This is my second one...it is great for travel and great when I am pressed for time and can't set my hair in hot curlers.

The last one has something wrong with the power function.

It heats up super quick and gives big body-ful curls.

This curling iron is actually pretty good and great considering the price. It does exactly what it says it does!!! Doesnt really protect against heat though. I dont know why another reviewer said its horrible. They probally got a defect. This is my first curling iron and I gave it 4 stars because Sometimes my hair got caught in the screw place. But its probally because it was my first time curling. Now, it doesnt do that anymore. If your looking for a good curling iron for a very cheap price, get this one!!!! It gives pretty loose curls and waves!!!!

I love this curling iron. Fabulous price, too! It's quick to heat up and works great. I have been using the same iron for the last two years and have never had any problems. I also have another barrel size and a flat iron in this same brand all of which I am very happy with.

This is quite possibly the worst curling iron I've ever owned! I had thick, long hair and figured the 1 1/4 barrel would give me lasting curls like my other curling irons... BIG WASTE. My curls always fell within one hour (even with a holding spray). I had to keep rod shaped rollers in my bag to help me keep my curls. It was also poorly constructed. One day while getting ready for a night of partying, one of the screws fell out and left three terrible burn marks on one of my breasts. I only used the iron 4 TIMES! I totally regret this purchase... the scarring was not worth it, especially with summer approaching.
