I hate the plug on this thing. It's big and bulky and very rigid. It's hard to find an outlet to plug it into. The cord is too short.
I cannot get the thing to "twist and fold" I would never buy this again and wish I'd seen it in the store first.

Lightest weight and most compact of dual voltage Conairs. Folds up too. Noise level seems normal for a hair dryer. I've found that the Conair dryers need replacing every couple of years, but the light weight of the 162, compared to a professional brand, still makes it desirable. This is my third of this model - the 2nd is still going strong. I

I bought this dryer to have in my gym bag; I liked the fact that it has a folding handle. What I've found is that it's heavier than I would've liked for a travel hair dryer, and it's a little louder than I like. On the other hand, it dries my hair pretty quickly and evenly. I think I would've rated it higher had it been a few dollars cheaper!

Button to use Ionizer is difficult to hold down while using styler. [I use this to "set" my curls with a roll brush] Otherwise its a great value.

Overall, I think this is an OK hair dryer. The flip handle does make it nice for travel. My one and only complaint, (it's a big one), is this: If you are using it for a few minutes and turn it off, it will not go back on again for 5 minutes or so. My understanding is the IONs are supposed to decrease drying time. If I start drying my hair and have to stop, I then have to wait for it to be able to come back on. I don't know if it has to cool or what. This clearly cancels out any time saving the dryer might offer. If I have to stop drying my hair, I have to leave it on, so that I'll be able to use it again right away. Clearly this is crazy! I am currently shopping for a new dryer for this reason. For me, this is really not going to work. I think if you have short or thin hair it might be OK. If you have long or thick hair and may need to pause while blow drying hair, DO NOT BUY THIS, or you'll end up like me, buying a new one that won't need a "rest" in between turning it off and on!

First of all, this dryer is much too BIG to be called a travel hair dryer. It is very close to the same size as a regular hair dryer and it would take up WAY too much space in a suitcase. I bought it to use in our motorhome, where space isn't as critical. However, I was very disappointed in its performance as a "styling" (as it is advertised) dryer. It has two speeds--low with low heat and high with high heat. I normally use a round styling brush, and a dryer on low speed with high heat. This dryer didn't offer that option, which wasn't clear in the description. I used it for a week on our vacation. My hair was blown into a big mess every day, and I couldn't get it to curl at all. My hair was flat in front, and the back looked like a tom turkey fanning its tail, which is not the look I was trying to get! The only positive thing was that I was in a place where no one knew me. I need to find a better travel hair dryer!

i've only used it a few times. I shower at night and hate sleeping with wet hair, so I bought this because it was ionic (what does that do? I don't know) and travel size and on sale. It's pretty good. Not as small as I would like but that's fine. The handle twists around. It's also got two voltages, which I guess you switch with like a penny or something.
When I dried my hair, it was pretty fast and good, not frizzy. I have pretty straight hair, but when I blowdried it, my boyfriend said it looked as if i had straightened it, which I guess means it was really flat.
I don't use a lot of blowdriers so I can't say if this is an amazing product other than the fact that I like it. I haven't used it that many times, so hopefully it's a sturdy, long-lasting product.
