We use this every night to help drown out the loud snores of our yellow lab. We tried the Conair with the time limits which was really annoying. This machine is terrific for the price, and being able to take it overseas with batteries is another benefit.

It took 3 nights to get used to, but now I can't sleep without it. I used to use a fan, but the fan just circulated dust, and that can't be healthy. I use the "white noise" setting for sleeping, and I use the "running stream" setting for studying. This machine has the option to run continuously, which is great for using all night. Other sleep machines I have seen online do not have a continuous play option.

The option to stay on or automatically turn off is great as most sound machines do not offer the stay on option and we use it all night.

I use this with my baby and he loves it. He liked the heartbeat best as a newborn, but now also enjoys the water and other sounds. Because he sleeps in a bassinet in our bedroom, it is nice to have this for white noise/bedtime "music" instead of a sugary lullaby CD on repeat.

I have two of these for my kids at naptime & bedtime. They really help to drown out the sounds of the other kids and the house while they are trying to sleep. The only things I don't like are the on/off switch - it turns on & off too easily during transit, I wish it were a switch instead of a big button & I don't like how the volume control dial is so large on the bottom, it's too easy for it to accidentally get changed. Other than that it works great. I liked it so much the first time I went back & bought a second one!

Bought this for my husband for his birthday. Blocks out the morning noise while I get my daughter ready for school in the morning, so he can sleep a little longer. Relaxes us both and puts us to sleep at night.

Purchased to block out external sounds for undisturbed sleep in the day.

The sounds are all too artificial with an annoying, repetitive 'clunk' in the sound loop that's very distracting (especially in the white noise which should be consistent). The 'rain' is just passable, but still clunky.

Not really worth it - better to pay more for smooth, unadulterated sounds.
