Comments about Conair ThermaLuxe Massaging Heating Pad, 1 ea:

We bought this hoping to find a larger heating surface than the Conair heating pad we have (which we love, by the way). Although this one is a slightly larger pad, the heating surface is about the same size as the other pad.

The description boasts 5 settings, which is very misleading. Heat is either on or off, and it's the massage that is low, med, and high. The heat is very low, so you can hardly feel it at all (which was surprising since we love the heat in the smaller Conair pad). Plus, the heat goes off after 20 minutes (a fact which is not included in the description that I could see; we had to learn it from the instruction book -- I know, who reads instruction books?).

The velcro straps were impossible to finagle (how can you attach a velcro strap with one hand?), and the warning about putting weight on the pad makes it useless for using on the back, which is what we wanted it for. And it's too thick and inflexible to stay curved against the neck; it just slides off.

It's sad really, the material is really nice. That's the only good thing I can say about this product (oh, and the box and instruction manual are nicely done, a feature that doesn't help the function of the pad, alas!).

If it weren't such a pain, I'd return it. But we're just going to pass it along to Goodwill after one use (I should really say "attempted" use).

Comments about Conair ThermaLuxe Massaging Heating Pad, 1 ea:

I've used this several times since moving and being very sore in my lower back and legs. The heating pad itself works great, but the additional massaging feature is best when used on legs or arms where you can utilize the straps that are attached (when used on my lower back I didn't feel much massage).

Comments about Conair ThermaLuxe Massaging Heating Pad, 1 ea:

This heating pad was very frustrating. It hardly heats up at all. The massage aspect does not really work, as the instructions advise against putting much weight against the pad. For back pain, the only way to try and use this was to lay face down on the floor and drape the pad over the injured area...not particularly comfortable, and not effective at all.

            Disappointed.

Better than your typical heating pad

Comments about Conair ThermaLuxe Massaging Heating Pad, 1 ea:

Product works like your typical heating pad. The packaging says 5 different combination of settings. I feel it's a bit misleading since the only options are heat on/off and massage low/high/off. I wish there were more settings for the temperature. The massage is just vibration which helps a little. The high setting is really loud. It is larger then your average heating pad which is nice. I just wish it was more formed to my body so I could put it on my neck without it sliding off. Overall I think it's better than your average heating pad and worth the extra money if you suffer from tight back muscles.
