Indications
For the temporary relief of nasal congestion due to the common cold, hay fever, or associated with sinusitis. Helps loosen mucus and thin bronchial secretions to drain bronchial tubes and make coughs more productive.
Drug Interaction Precautions
Do not use this product if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor(MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you are uncertain whether your prescription drug contains an MAOI, consult a health professional before using this product.
Warnings
Do not exceed recommended dosage. If nervousness, dizziness, or sleeplessness occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or are accompanied by fever, consult a physician. Do not take this product if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, or difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland, unless directed by a physician.
A persistent cough may be a sign of a serious condition. If cough persists for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, rash or persistent headache, consult a physician. Do not take this product for persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema, or where cough is accompanied by excessive mucus unless directed by a physician.
Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, seek professional assistance or contact a Poison Control Center immediately. As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of health professional before using this product.

Lets cut to the chase. The sale of pseudo-ephedrine products is restricted because it's the good stuff, and that's why you have to jump through hoops to purchase it. But it's worth it. NOTHING works to decongest my wife sinuses but this thing. And this particular presentation, (Pseudoephedrine (60 mg) PLUS Guaifenesin (400 mg) is THE BEST combination there is. You can't even find this at the stores most of the time.

This is the only product I buy for relief of stuffy nose because it is the only one that really works. It is the best I have ever found, and it is no longer sold in the stores. I have tried almost everything available and nothing works except Congestac. [...]. I try not to take it too close to bedtime as it can act as a stimulant--for me, anyway. If I manufactured this product I would sell it and advertise it everywhere. It beats everything else out there hands down.

This clears my congestion and sinusitis symptoms better than anything else. It causes me to have more vivid dreams so I usually take it in the morning. I never find it in drugstores, so really appreciate that it is available here.

This is the best product I have ever used for that post-nasal drip, related cough, and the nagging headaches that sometimes go with seasonal allergy/sinus attacks. It relieves without drowsiness or drying. Since contols were placed on these medications, similar formulas are no longer provided by most name-brand manufacturers. Congestac is very difficult to find. Thanks, drugstore.com, for making this available !!

There is nothing comparable to this on the market. The combination of decongestant and mucous thinner is a godsend. I don't know why more stores don't carry it or there is not more advertising on it. It is a little pricy but I seldom have to take more than one a day so it is OK. Have used it for years but have always had to get it on line.

This is an essential product for me. I use it to supplement a twelve hour decongestant from another vendor, because I don't like to take either overnight. (Mild stinulant effect can interfere with sleep.) It relieves congestion more effectively than the 12-hour product, but it is not possible to buy enough of this item with current restrictions to use round the clock. It s ia special order item, since not stocked in local stores.
One caplet every 4 to 6 hours, not to exceed 4 caplets in 24 hours.
Children (6 to under 12 years): one-half the adult dose (break caplet in half), not to exceed 2 caplets in 24 hours. Children under 6 years, use only as directly by physician.
