As director for the local day camp, I was looking for a product to help me and some of the other staff "cool off" during long, hot day camp days. We don't have bathrooms, just porta-potties, so there's no easy way to splash water on our faces or neck to cool off, and frankly, that just makes a mess anyway.

This product had such convincing reviews throughout the internet, I figured I'd give it a go.

Not only does this product work, it's LASTING. Not forever, no, but when you've got a volunteer who is hot and fussy and acting like the kiddos s/he is supposed to be supervising, it's nice to have him/her use a little wipe under arms, on the back of the neck, on the chest (under that lovely area of breasts where so much heat pools) - and then send them back out onto the field knowing the cooling sensation will continue for awhile.

Hydration and perspiration are obviously the best cooling methods, but this is a nice "quick fix" for feeling cooler immediately and a good boost for moods when temperatures (and temperments) get hot.

The only downsides I saw were that these do create additional waste (micro waste... itty bitty wrappers potentially left on the ground) and they do dry out very quickly. Definitely a worthwhile treat for a hot day, though.

I do not like being hot. So, when we went on vacation this summer to a HOT place I took these along and they kept me cool the whole time.

I kept some in my purse for other times. I have offered them to friends who were over heated in church. It was very helpful to have on hand.
