We've used this product for pool and beach days, canoeing/kayaking, hiking, kite flying, county fair days,etc. Lasts long without reapplication, but it takes forever to dry. I like to put it on my daughter in the mornings before she leaves for her summer day-program. She wears her swim suit under her t-shirt and shorts, so we put the sunscreen on before she puts on her shorts and shirt, stand her in front of a big, free-standing fan to dry the stuff, then we wait. And wait. And wait. It never seems to dry or to absorb into her skin. I always worry when we put her clothes on because I'm afraid too much product will rub off onto her clothes and she won't be protected when she swims. Somehow, she (usually) manages not to burn, but we'll try a different product this year, I think. Who needs the worry or the hassle of waiting in front of a fan to dry?

This is my sunblock of choice - great when playing on the snow, water, trails, anywhere I want full protection. Its best attributes are that it's sweat-proof and non-greasy, and by the way, it really stays on and lasts through the long-haul. This lotion has an spf 30 rating which can sometimes be difficult to find.

This product may be effective, but it (the avobenzone in it) stains fabrics terribly. I put this over my entire exposed face and body when I play tennis or take part in other outdoor activities. My cream colored leather car seat has two probably permanent yellow stains exactly matching my thigh location when I am driving. My collars have yellow stains and even some of my underwear is stained. You won't notice the stains on your clothes until after you take them out of the washer and dryer. Somehow, laundering sets the stain. The only avobenzone product I will use now is on my face and only spf 15 (lower concentration of avobenzone). I'm looking for suitable zinc or titanium oxide products at this point.

I have work 30+ people crews that work outside all summer. We issue each of them one of these and it removes sunburn cases as long as it is applied at the recommended rate. It goes on non-greasy and maintains a good protective layer. If you are really fair skinned, I suggest SPF50 version for some increased protection to be on the safe side.

OK, this product feels great, does not drip into the eyes when playing sports, and will prevent you from getting a sunburn. But, despite the UVA/UVB claim by the company, this product while providing some UVA protection, does NOT provide true broad spectrum UVA protection. Although both UVA and UVB rays can age skin and cause cancer, the most constant and problematic rays with respect to cancer are UVA. The only products that are approved by the FDA for complete UVA protection are those that contain avobenzone and zinc ioxide, (including titanium dioxide). This product contains NONE of the above. However, and here is the the worst part of this scam, the product with this exact name and packaging used to contain avobenzone. I used it for years and loved it. The company just kept the name (and the claim) and dropped the most important UVA cancer fighting ingredient. So if you have been using this product for some time and are not aware of this change, be warned. You don't have to believe me. Just read what Coppertone says on their own website in their FAQ"s:

"Q: What is "broad spectrum protection"?

A: The sun's ultraviolet spectrum ranges from 290 nanometers (nm) to 400 nm, with UVB rays at the lower end and UVA rays at the higher end. Broad spectrum protection refers to sunscreen products that contain ingredients that protect against UVB and UVA rays up to 360 nm or above. Avobenzone and zinc oxide are the only FDA-approved sunscreen active ingredients that provide broad spectrum protection throughout the entire UVA spectrum."

Nice of them to call our attention to this important change in the product.

I run a 30+ field crew throughout the length of the summer. They are in the sun for 8+ hours a day, 6 days a week and sweat VERY profusely. We provide each of them with a bottle of sunscreen and for years, this is the product we choose. It rubs in well, isn't greasy, and protects from sunburn great! I will continue to use this sunscreen as long as it remains as effective as it is now and has always been.

I applied this SPF 30 to my entire body before going to the beach. I was on my stomach for no more than one hour, and my back got burnt to a crisp. This product has no protection whatsoever. I've tried other brands with lesser SPF than this one that had more protection. Do not buy if you want protection.

I use this as a daily moisturizer and have used this brand for a long time. Works wonderfully under makeup and I have no wrinkles at age 59 to prove its effectiveness in sun blocking!!

My husband and I have been using Coppertone Sport Sunblock for years and have been happy with its performance. I particularly like the way it rubs in easily and is not sticky or greasy. We re-apply it about every two hours.
