Comments about Cortizone 10 Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch Creme, Maximum Strength, 2 oz:
I had an allergic reaction on the skin under my eyes due to some eye makeup. What started as a little dryness developed into puffy, red, peeling skin overnight. Not only did it sting whenever I moved my eyes, but it looked terrible. I'd had this in my medicine cabinet but thought topical Benadryl might be better suited for this so I went and bought some. Boy was I wrong. It burned like hell. So I carefully cleaned that off and tried some of the Cortizone 10 instead. I realize you're supposed to avoid getting it near your eyes, but I had no choice...it was either put in on carefully in hope of some relief or put nothing on and suffer while it cleared up by itself. So I put it very carefully, left it on for a few hours before I went to bed and then applied some more just before bed. Took away the pain immediately and didn't sting at all, It's messy but it kind of melts on your skin to cover the affected area--doesn't drip or anything though. Well, this cleared it up almost completely overnight. Redness and swelling were gone, no more pain, and the peeling skin had come off, while the hydrocortizone started healing the skin underneath. Not to mention the fact that it didn't affect my eyes one bit and all that's left is a tiny bit of dryness (not from the cream, but left over from the rash). Awesome stuff.
