I didn't get the reason for the spring mechanism in this product. For me, it just made the process more cumbersome. I will buy one without the spring next time.

When I first saw this I was a bit confused I had never seen an eyelash curler like this. I did find this to be a bit hard to use at first. It was hard to get lashes in too the curler but I finlly got used to it and does what it says. So overall it's a bit hard to use at first but once you use it several times it's easy to use.
Pro tip: Use before applying mascara. Steady your hand by resting elbow on a flat surface. Lift chin and look down into mirror. Widen opening. Position eyelashes between cushioned pads. Squeeze together gently but firmly 15 to 20 seconds. For more curl, apply mascara. When dry, fluff lashes and curl again. Always wipe pads clean after use.
