I like this product mostly because of the brush. It has the newer style of hard brush, which I find to give a more even coating of my lashes, rather than a typical brush with soft bristles. As for the little flecks of gold in the product, well, they aren't really visible. Maybe they give a little extra light that I don't notice much, but that part isn't a reason that I like the mascara. It is difficult to remove, but it also doesn't flake off after being on for a long time, so even when I notice that my lashes are still mascara coated after washing my face, it doesn't feel heavy or come off on its own. It's more of a "oh, I don't have to reapply my mascara today." So overall, I like the mascara, just not for the "eyelights" part.

Great Mascara to define lashes but not over the top. I only apply once & it works beautifully on my barely there lashes.
I suggest you give it a try, the little sparkles are an little added benefit!

This mascara stays on through my workouts (not Bikram yoga or swimming though) and is easy to remove. This is one of the only mascaras that I have ever used and I have used a lot from Chanel to Benefit and Maybeline... that actually gets me compliments. People I know have been asking me "what are you doing with your eyes, they look amazing." The very subtle almost invisible sparkles really does "highlight" your eye color and make the whites of your eyes whiter etc. I put this mascara on 1st thing in the morning and it is comfy all day and I wear contacts.

This is a really great product - it looks very natural and makes your eye color pop. I can definitely see the gold sparkles and a difference in my hazel eyes. I would buy this again - it is perfect for day use.

I really love this mascara! I normally use the lash exact with good results, so when I seen this product, decided to try the color that best suited my hazel eyes. I was amazed that the mascara was just as good as the lash exact and that it really did make my eye color "pop"!

The fact that I can rub my eyes and I don't end up with back smudges all over my cheeks is major. Washes off easily without smearing all over your face also!!

This mascara is some of the worst I've ever used.I got this mascara in conjunction with the eyeliner that is supposed to brighten hazel eyes. Firstly, there was no brightening from either product whatsoever. Secondly, and most importantly, this mascara is so stiff and brittle and makes my lashes fall out all over the place when I'm trying to take it off. I don't think I've gotten it completely off since I bought it and wore it the first time. It is like shellac. Not cool. I am terribly disappointed that I wasted [$] on this mascara. I won't use the rest of it. I value my lashes staying put too much for that. I will go back to my beloved Elizabeth Arden Ceramide mascara. You truly do get what you pay for.

YOU CAN ONLY SEE A LITTLE GOLD FLECKS WHEN YOU PUT THIS ON. I USE MAYBELLINE MASCARA FIRST AND USE THIS ON THE ENDS OF MY LASHES, MINE WAS NOT DRY NOR CLUMPY. ITS EASY TO REMOVE TOO. ITS NOT BAD

I agree with the other reviewers who think this "eye brightening" mascara is just a bunch of advertising fiction to get people to buy their product. And of course, despite my doubts, I just HAD to try this stuff to see if it really did illuminate my eyes. But it didn't. Not even a little bit. I even bought the matching eyeliner which was equally as bland. My recommendation is to steer clear of this one.
