Black sapphire color is very pretty. The product itself isn't so great. Sticky when applying, product seems dry in a brand new tube, very little product on brush as it is removed from the tube. Takes forever to see product on lashes and by then, lashes are clumped, twisted, globs of product here and there with other areas looking bare. By the time application is done, flakes of product are on upper lid, upper cheek, bridge of nose and when wiping it away, one achieves a deep blue smear. Horrid mascara but great brush and color. Would not purchase again and once I buy a new mascara, this one hits the trash.

Great product! Goes on smooth - even if a glob is accidentlyy applied it can be spread out, no problem (doesn't dry too quickly). Volume can be added by applying a couple of layers - can even go over the morning's application before going out to dinner! No fibrous "hairs" to alighn with lash length - product is light and fluid. Very easy to remove - comes off with washclothe face cleansing.
Easy to use, all around.

I can FINALLY get ALL the mascara off at night and not feel like I'm just adding new to old when I apply in AM.

I love these mascaras. They are light in the tube, but dry to a lovely darker color. The brush lifts and separates lashes. No clumping, no flaking, long lasting. I own a few different shades of this mascara. A great choice for daytime when you want some color, but don't want to use eyeshadow. Also a good alternative to higher priced brands, works just as well. Highly recommend!

This is my favorite mascara by far. I especially like the subtle blue color, it really brings out my eyes. I recommend this product to anyone, young and not so young.

I'm used to wearing Lancome's Hypnose mascara, so using CoverGirl was like heading into unknown woods for me. It is black in home lighting, but appears as kind of a slate blue in natural light (i.e., in the car). I see no shimmer in the mascara whatsoever. It isn't a "natural look" (especially when used with the CoverGirl eyeliner & shadow quad that corresponds to this mascara), but with blue eyes, it does enhance them a bit. It doesn't lengthen or thicken the lashes, which might not be a bad thing- perhaps it'd be more unnatural if it was a heavier formula, due to the color of blue. Nonetheless, I wish it created a more dramatic look. It's a very dry, though clump-free, mascara. It flakes & I've never, ever had so much trouble removing mascara before. Clinique Makeup Remover, the powerhouse women would steal for, can't even get it all off. I have to use two cotton pads steeped in makeup remover to get this & the matching eyeliner, and then follow w/ Paula's Choice Skin Recover Cleanser (which can almost get a normal mascara off completely on it's own). Even after that, a trace is left of the product. As I only wear one coat on my lashes & it's hours from put-on to take-off time, I find this ridiculous.

Extremely hesitant to use blue anything on the eyes (it doesn't exactly scream "natural"), I was nonetheless tired of my usual white, coral, brown & grey eye shadow/liner colors & black mascara. I purchased the entire Eyelights collection for blue eyes & have experimented with a number of different looks. Does the "kit" enhance blue eyes? I'm still not sure. I've gotten a few compliments on my eyes themselves, but then I always have, so I'm really not sure if it's the products or not.

The price is good, the application surprisingly professional in terms of smoothness going on, minimal clumping & in not being so blue as to scream "DISCO!" at you. In natural light (like in the car), the blue is MUCH more apparent. I'm not sure, again, if that's good or bad- it's just the way it is. Frankly, I'm not sold on the use of blue shadow, liner or mascara to enhance my eyes- but I will say it was fun to try out some new looks without breaking the bank. Frankly, I believe that bronze shades & copper browns enhance my eye color the most while also complimenting my blonde hair & revving up my uber-pale complexion.

This mascara is more difficult to remove than any brand I've ever used, and I've had Almay, Max Factor, Smashbox, philosophy, Lancome (my absolute fave) & Estee Lauder on my lashes before. I am not looking to lose any lashes, so this feature alone means I won't be repurchasing this mascara.
