I love the idea of colorizing to accent your natural eye color and I think this product subtly does that however it is extremely difficult to to see on my lashes unless I apply several coats which is something I don't have time for. It definitely works as far as Water Proof, does not smudge or flake off however like most water proof mascaras; difficult to remove.

I am used to wearing Lancome's Defincils mascara, so using CoverGirl was like heading into the woods for me. Strange & unknown territory! It is black in home lighting, slate blue in natural light. I see no shimmer in the mascara whatsoever. It isn't a "natural look", but with blue eyes, it does enhance them a bit. It doesn't lengthen or thicken the lashes, which might not be a bad thing- perhaps it'd be more unnatural if it was a heavier formula. Nonetheless, I wish it created a more dramatic look. It's a very dry,, though clump-free, mascara.

I have blue eyes, and this mascara makes them look even bluer! The "slate" color tint isn't noticeable unless you are looking for it, which is perfect because it makes the color enhancement look completely natural. I love the fact that this is waterproof, since my eyes tend to water. The only thing that would make this better would be if the brush was curved (I am still mourning the discontinuance of Cover Girl's Marathon Mascara)

WATERROOF VERSION BEING REVIEWED:

Was expecting this to make my lashes long with a hint of blue color that would make them pop. Instead, this mascara requires many coats to get any length or definition. The blue is barely noticeable, And whether it is truly waterproof is debabtable,. It did not last a 45 minute workout at the gym. It sweated right off my lashes. I will NOT be buying this again,

Love this product -- it enhances my blue eyes without looking like I'm wearing 80's blue mascara.

Only problem is it seems to dry out a little quickly, and can then get clumpy when applied.

It's not easy to remove, but that's normal with waterproof mascara.

Every time I use this mascara, I end up taking it off and having to start all over because it makes my eyelashes a big clumpy disaster. The color is awesome (I got the sapphire blue), but I am totally bummed about the brush. However, my sister has the one for green eyes and hers always looks fine. So maybe I got a lemon.

I have very long and thick blonde lashes. I normally don't go for such small brushes. However, this mascara covered every lash, even the corner lashes. It's great and brightens my blue eyes.

It is as impressive as any other waterproof Cover Girl mascara. However, I bought it to try this EyeLights feature and it is nothing to brag about (or spend extra money on). In regular light, you don't even see color or sparkle (just looks like any other CG mascara). And, in bright light or sun, it looks like you got careless with shimmery eyeshadow and it got on your lashes. I could have done that without buying something extra. I also prefer not to look as if I am unable to properly apply eyeshadow.

This is the best mascara I have ever used. I have lashes when i use this!!!!!!!!!!!! My lashes stay curled and thick all day long.
