Day look:  Smooth a medium shade on your eyelid from the lash line up to the eye crease.  Blend a deeper shade into and slightly above the crease of your eye.

Evening look:  Smooth the lightest shade from lash line to browbone.  Apply the deepest shade close to your lash line and blend into the outer eye crease for more definition.
