I have been through many different makes and models of mascaras. There is NO perfect mascara, however this has been the closest I have come to. It does tend to clump in the beginning, but then after a few uses tames down to nice even lengthy lashes. It also seems to dry out after about 1.5 months where I have had to take longer applying to get the same effect as before. This is also when I noticed it to start flaking a bit. So there is validity to some of the reviews when it comes to the clumping and flaking, however for about 1.5 months it is close to perfect. Everyone that I have recommended it to likes it. I bought this in washable black, because I do not like waterproof mascaras. I use four steps when making up my eyes: comb, curl, step 1 mascara , step 2 mascara. After I combed my lashes and curled them, I used this as my seperating and defineing mascara. I liked it, but I would not by it again. After a few hours, it started to run and smudge. I think I will try the Covergirl Lash Blast mascara next time!
