I love the color and I am going to try at least 1 of the other colors. I use it day and night, it isn't too glitzy to only wear at night. I highly recommend, and I do wear contacts and I've never had any problem with it flaking into my eyes like some other brands. My lashes are naturally dark dark brown/black, and I bought the Black Cabernet in the hopes it would be more of a bright auburn color. Nope. I hadtobethisclose to see any kind of shimmer, but the color didn't quite show up. I'm going to use it until it's gone, but I'm not sure if I'm going to buy again. It doesn't flake or smudge much, and it removes easily, but I think this mascara might be better suited for someone who has lighter colored lashes. So my bottom line is I'll only recommend it to those who have light colored lashes - and that's it! I saw no shimmer, no color, no nothin. I even put it on one eye and a different mascara on the other. No difference. I continue to try all kinds of mascara and I really don't see any difference in any of them. Think I'm going to start buying the cheapest I can find! No, you can't always see the color, but you can in certain light. I bought two different colors; I've only tried the Emerald. The mascara itself is great, so whatever else you get is just a bonus! But there is absolutely no shimmer or color to speak of. I even asked my mom and my sister if they could see any red shimmer at all and they could not.
