One of my co-workers has the longest and fullest lashes I've ever seen, so I asked her what mascara she used and she told me Lashblast in black. Of course, after many years of using the same mascara I was a little hesitant, so I decided to do some research. There are some bad reviews about it but most of them are great, so I decided why not give it a try. What do I have to lose? [$] at the local pharmacy? So I got it and I do not regret it. I get so many compliments and a few people have asked me if I am wearing fake lashes. This is a fantastic product, it washes off easily and makes my lashes look fuller and longer than ever without making them feel heavy or lumpy. The brush is big but I love it because it covers more and faster. My tip to applying this mascara is to have your eyes semi closed while pushing the brush up. I apply about two coats, wait a few seconds and apply an extra coat if I want a dramatic look. With my other mascara I had to apply it about 6 times on each eye. I have recommended it to everyone I know and the ones that have bought it love it as well. Get it, and if you don't like it you can always return it. I initially purchased and used the waterproof version, which i liked because it gave my blonde lashes great volume and length, and after I curled my lashes it really held the curl. Unfortunately it dried rather hard and stiff, so i decided to try the original (non-waterproof) version. I am very glad I did, because it is not at all stiff of hard after it dries like the waterproof version and it has the same volumizing and lengthening effects. The only downsides to this mascara are that, unlike the waterproof version, this one does not hold curl very well, and it has a tendency to flake if you sleep in it (I know most people dont do that, but for example when you spend the night w. you bf and you want to look pretty when you wake up...i dont reccommend this mascara for that, you will wake up with black flakes all over your face) Also I can never apply it straight out of the tube, I first have to wipe the excess product off on the rim of the tube and then dab at the wand with some tissue to get the excess off and THEN apply it, otherwise there is too much product on the wand and it clumps. I do this with most mascaras though, and not because I do not want to apply alot, I love mascara but I apply it in several coats because it works better for me that way. This isn't any great shakes. Brush is very big and you can't do your lower lashes with it. It does separate lashes well. The mixture is quite watery in that it doesn't stick to the lashes well. First of all, no irritation. Secondly, it applies wonderfully with no clumping and it separates the lashes well. It's also easy to remove at the end of the day. I highly recommend it. Comments about CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Mascara, Black 805, 1 ea: when I first bought this mascara, I really thought it sucked bad & actually didn't use it for a while but when I ran out of my MAC, I started using this cause it was the newest one I had & it actually wasn't too bad.. when I got my MAC mascara again, I used it & it seemed as though the color wasn't as dark as this stuff.. odd, yet true.. anyway, I've been using this & I think you just need to get used to the odd brush it has cause if you try to put on more than one coat, it'll clump, so I usually wait for it to dry then do a 2nd or 3rd coat.. also, you gotta wipe the brush off before use cause I think that's what makes it clump right away & it does smudge a bit & doesn't always apply evenly but what do you expect from a drugstore brand?
