I generally stick to department store cosmetics, but I was looking to save some money and saw that this mascara had good reviews. I tried it in Brown (815) and I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised! I wasn't sure if I should try brown or black-brown, but I'm glad I went for the brown. It's plenty dark and looks natural against my very fair skin. The brush is larger than I'm used to, but I still was able to get neatly defined lashes with almost no clumping (even on the second coat).

The consistently is nice - not too wet or thick - and it allows for enough time before drying to comb through any unevenness. I don't like mascaras that make my lashes look unnatural - and this fits the bill nicely. Those looking for major volume may be disappointed (or will want to apply more than 2 coats). Otherwise, this mascara delivers clean, subtle length and curl with minimal clumping.

I can't use black mascara; this color really brings out the color of my light brown eyes where black mascaras don't do the trick. It's easy to put on and it's not thin and runny which I like. I use it with mauve/pink/brown eyeshadow and that really defines and accents my eye color. I've tried other brown mascaras, but they were either too light or thin & runny. This one is the best.

This mascara is one of the small bunch that comes in BROWN, I am very fair-skinned and look like I'm playing dress-up in my mom's stuff in black or even "brown-black" mascaras -- one of my two favorite mascaras, both from Cover Girl.

I bought this at [...] in a double pack thinking I got a great deal. I used one for a few weeks, hoping I would get used to it. I'm not into really thick lashes, but I like something that makes my lashes stand out with a little thickening & lengthening. After applying this product it didn't even look like I was wearing any mascara. Then after a couple of hours of wear, it started to flake off. I finally just threw both bottles away & bought something less.

I definitely agree with the other reviewer. As a fellow redhead, it is difficult to find a truly brown mascara that will not look too dark against my very pale skin or be unnatural compared yo my hair color. Color wise, I love the mascara. Color aside I found the mascara to be fairly average. While there was nothing spectacular about the mascara, I had no major complaints either/ Although the mascara can be on the tricky side for removal, this is not a real problem.

Having red hair it is difficult to find a brown mascara. One that is not black brown. This is a good medium brown that you can apply as thick as you want for day or night. I will buy this mascara again. I like the the brush, it's smaller and doesn't feel like a floor brush coming at your eye.
