I was afraid it would be too dark for me, but it adds the least bit of red. Don't be deceived by the color advertised, it will be a little lighter, but all in all, I love this lip gloss. It is not easy to find; this particular color is always gone (Bronze Goddess) and none of the other colors will do (they are awful). I can just apply it quickly, without a mirror, and it gives my lips instant color, instant softness, and looks and feels great. I keep serious lipstick (Long-wearing) in my purse, too, but this is a must-have; I don't go anywhere without this stuff!

The shimmer effect is also subdued which I love. Just enough for bit of iridescence but not an over the top glittery pre-teen novelty makeup look. It is also lightweight like a balm.
