About a year ago, as part of a BzzCampaign, I received a free full-size (1.0 oz) sample of Covergirl's Natureluxe Silk Foundation (Flax 310). Prior to wearing it, I thought it would be worth a try, but I never thought it would be able to compete with my usual foundation (Chanel Teint Innocence Cendrie-Shell 1.5 intensity), which I had been wearing since 2007. I was shocked when I first tried it and loved, loved, loved it! After receiving my free sample, I now buy it as my exclusive foundation.

The following are the positives qualities that I found using it: (1) extremely light (i.e., not heavy at all), but has nice coverage that remains; (2) smooth and creamy foundation that blends nicely and looks natural; (3) fresh cucumber sent; (4) SPF 10; (5) retail price is almost 1/5 of my Chanel foundation.

The following negatives are negligible, but worth mentioning: (1) although the scent is fresh and wonderful, I prefer my makeup to be scent-free; and (2) when I first blend it into my skin, it appears milky, but then it blends beautifully (it is just not what I am used to, but it's not really a negative).

I compared Natureluxe Silk to Chanel by applying Natureluxe Silk on the left-side of my face and Chanel on the right-side of my face. After blending the two foundations on each side of my face, one could not tell that I was actually wearing two different foundations. Personally, I am not really into make-up ... I prefer a fresh and natural look that is easy to achieve. But, I was impressed that one side had a drug-store brand, while the other had an expensive department store brand and I could see no difference.

Overall, Natureluxe Silk blends easily and complements my skin tone and color with no trace that I am actually wearing makeup. It feels more like a tinted moisturizer, but with the coverage of a full-working foundation. Because Natureluxe Silk itself is a bit lighter (i.e., not as thick) than my Chanel foundation, I found that wearing Natureluxe Silk just a tad darker in color/shade (compared to my Chanel color/shade) allows the same color coverage on my face (natural looking).

I am sold on this foundation! And, I am excited to save about $35-40 per 1.0 oz on my foundation. Bye-Bye Chanel foundation ... I loved you, but Covergirl's Natureluxe Silk is just as good for 1/5 of the price! The coverage and price cannot be beat! Thanks Covergirl!! I hope this line comes out with a powder compact and concealer!

I wanted to try this foundation because it does not contain parabens. It went on easily, using my foundation brush. It has a nice consistency when applying. I would continue to use it, but it caused an allergic reaction on my skin. I do not have any regular allergies, but this stuff gave me little hives all over my face, wherever I had applied it - even on my neck where I had blended the foundation out. Sadly, I can't use it anymore. I have seen other reviews where people complain of the same problem.

I alwasy have a hard time finding foundations that match my skin tone and stay on. I bought this on a fluk and I tried it one morning and it was excellent. The color, coverage, lasting color throughout day, non greasy and matches my skin tone perfectly.

At first I really liked this product, it matched very well and the container makes it easy to apply.

But recently I've had to stop using it because after a few minutes I'll return to a mirror and see that it's all cracked looking and peeling off. I don't use much, and my skin isn't dry, so...I don't know, perhaps it doesn't like this cold weather. I even tried applying a moisturizer first, but it does the same thing.

I got a tube of this foundation in #320 and the color really matches my skintone. I did not expect much in the beginning because almost all foundations make my face cakey, and my face looks even more terrible w/ makeup. When I applied it, I was first surprised at the scent, it smells really good and refreshing. Then I was surprised that it's really easy to apply. I dab the foundation on my face and it blends well, no need to use brush or sponge. I have used it for a month and still like it,it beats many department store brands, and is good to be used in current weather.

According to COVERGIRL, 3 out of 4 professional make-up artists would recommend the NatureLuxe Collection to their clients and they are so sure you'll love NatureLuxe Silk Foundation, that if you're not satisfied with the results, they'll refund your money!

I may live in Florida, but my Dad has had skin cancer enough times to make me want to rock paler skin, so I selected one of their lighter shades Flax 310. For the months of April and May, the shade was a fantastic match for my skin tone, but I imagine that I might want to choose a slightly darker shade for the summer months. I found my ColorMatch and it looks like I will want to try Bamboo 315 as my face gets a little more color. Although I use a daily moisturizer with SPF and sunscreen if I anticipate I'll be outside a while, I am thankful that NatureLuxe Silk Foundation also comes equipped with SPF - 10 isn't much, but it's extra protection and that's something!

The foundation is creamy without being greasy. That's an advantage now that it's getting to be the delightful time of year in Florida when you sweat immediately upon leaving the house. NatureLuxe Silk Foundation is certainly lightweight and it didn't sweat off terribly (it did come off a little on days I spent a great deal of time outside, which is why I listed doesn't stay on a a con - not entirely true, but hard to escape when you live in this climate) And I really like the smell! It has cucumber water and a hint of jojoba for a nice, fresh scent. The look achieved with this product is very even and natural. The best part? It totally helped with my undereye circles! Seriously, my kids still don't always sleep through the night at two and four, so any help I can get with the heavy baggage I sport is greatly appreciated! I'm 31 now and ever since Curly was born, I look in the mirror sometimes and don't recognize myself; I'm definitely starting to age. You know how they say that makeup should enhance your natural beauty? Or was that just my Mom and Becky on Full House when DJ started Junior High? Anyway, this foundation brings out the Megali I used to be and it's nice to see her in the mirror again!

I love this makeup! I got a free tube to try a part of a [...] for [@]. It has stood up to the sweat test - a day at the zoo in the Louisiana heat & humidity as well as daily playground duty at mid day with the same conditions. I have tried several kinds of makeup, and they all sweat off - ugh! This one does not!!! It is very easy to apply - I used my hands and it went on smoothly with great coverage! This is my new favorite makeup!

I got a sample of this for free since I'm a Bzz agent, and this Natural Luxe line (I got this foundation and the even-better lipgloss) is by far the best stuff I've gotten through the Bzz-ers. This foundation goes on lightly and doesn't feel greasy on your skin, giving just enough coverage to even skin tone, but nothing drastic or thick. The smell is just heavenly -- eucalyptus, I think. It's really refreshing, especially in the morning! I found that it stayed on pretty well, and didn't settle into lines or creases. I would get this foundation again. My new favorite.

I received this foundation for free as part of a BzzCampaign for [@] and was a little skeptical to try it, because I really liked the foundation I had been using (Almay PureBlends). I have some serious issues with dry skin, and it can sometimes be tricky to find makeup that doesn't make the situation worse. For some reason, what starts out working just fine can sometimes go from good to bad to ugly after a few weeks of using it. I'd say that I've now been using this Covergirl foundation for about a month and a half and nothing has changed. It goes on so smoothly and actually makes my skin feel softer when I have it on. I haven't found it to rub off on any my clothes which can sometimes be a problem, too. The areas around my nose where I can get the flakiest have been free of flakes since I started using this product, which is definitely a plus!! I was especially nervous because I had read that this product had a slight fragrance, which it does, but it is so slight that you barely notice it - and when you do notice it, it's not bad! The makeup itself is infused with cucumber water and has a hint of jojoba and rose hip extracts, and I think that may be where the fragrance comes from, but at the same time I also think that is what helps it to make my sking feel so smooth! There's not much more that I can say, except that I really do like this product, and will definitely be buying it again when my free tube runs out.Just so you know, I also received a free tube of the Covergirl Nature Luxe Lip Gloss/Balm and really liked the way it felt, but I had to choose a color online and that's always so hard! Even though the color ended up being one that I wouldn't have picked in person had I been able to see it, but I really liked the smoothness that it had when it went on my lips! It also stayed in place for a long time of wear.
