Granted, I usually cover my black mascara with the clear mascara just for this reason and I wanted to see if my new stuff would hold up to the challenge...nope. It does give length and plumps up my lashes...but makes them kinda stick together and the clump on the end of the brush caused a bit of a mess. Comments about CoverGirl Professional Remarkable Mascara, Very Black 200, 1 ea: My ranking says it all: I love how this mascara goes on and stays on (very evenly, no smudging, clumping or flaking; lasts all day; removes easily when you wash up). I'm slightly disappointed that it doesn't do a better job enhancing the lashes, but for me, I'd rather have that than a mascara that enhances but also flakes and clumps everywhere, so I find this the best compromise so far. My eyes tend to water so I wanted the waterproof side of a mascara but HATE the ones that you cant get off without harsh soaps or removers. This comes off easily with my cearave cleanser and stays put when I need it to.I wear blackbrown for daywear and black to glam it up. After really long days of wear it can show some minor flakes but nothing I cant live with. Sadly my local store stopped carrying it so I am so thankful to see it on drugstore.com. Thank you DS.com! It doesn't smudge or clump. It gives beautiful,long, full lashes and washes off easily with a mild cleanser or soap. Love it!
