Comments about CoverGirl Queen Collection All Day Flawless Foundation + SPF 20, Brulee Q815, 1 fl oz:

I used to be a Bobbi Brown cosmetics junkie, and still have her brushes. I am constantly trying to find a good foundation with yellow undertones to meet my budget issues, since (1) I am a full time nursing student (2) Can no longer afford Iman cosmetics (3) Very sensitive acne prone and chemically sensitive skin.

I just want to say, I love the Iman Second to None Cream to Powder Foundation in Clay 1, 2, and 3. I buy all three and mix them, using more Clay 1 and 2, as my skin tends to change colors, based on weather, hormoones, etc... No person of color is just one color, so the idea of finding the perfect shade is some what of a myth, but still worth the challenge.

About my skin: Like most people it is both dry as well as oily. As a user of retin -A, beta and alpha hydroxy acids and sometimes very heavy moisturizes to compensate for drying and peeling, I am a heavy utilizer of makeup. As I have gotten older, I find that I absolutely need makeup, and infact use a few shades to brighten the eye area.

I purchased almost one of every color in the Queen Collection based on some very limited and confused reviews I found online, which described difficulting figuring out the color palette and undertones.

Now to review Brulee and the Queen foundation:
    1. I arrived at choosing Queen collection after going through way too many Iman compacts in Clay. Iman's makeup is incredible for multiracial, and Indian and Carribbean and African descent peoples. So, Queen is my budget go to.

    2. Paula Bedoun's Don't Go to the Makeup Counter without me, was my main reason for chosing this line. Additionally, I hate Revlon's no pump on the bottle, Maybelline's 24 hour stay is nice (no pump) and colors not great for darker shades (Carmel is the only one), L'oreal's makeup is kind of drying and harder to figure out now that HIP foundation is gone, and way too complicated (also no pump) the cross contamination inherent in that packaging design, and the desire to have better ingredients in the foundation.

    3. Brulee meet and exceeds my expections. For those of us who range in the Golden spectrum, Brulee is probably the best product for you. The middle to deeper spectrum would be the Golden Honey color. The Darker spectrum would be the regular, non queen collection color of Tawny.

Does it stay on all day? Sort of...
Is it really full coverage? Not unless you put 5 layers on.

However, if you just want to use one product and don't have time for stuff like highlighters, preping, priming, and concealer, this is pretty good. So, for a full time nursing student on the go, its reasonable, good, acceptable and perhaps a new staple to get me through the lean times. It better than average, and more than Okay.

So, buy Brulee, and buy a darker shade if you run in the yellow spectrum. Also buy Brulee if you want to highlight your eyes but don't want to look white and powdery. You can also buy Brulee if you are around the Almond and Golden Shades in Bobbi Brown. Its definately a shade you can work with to make lighter or darker, and the colors do strangely adjust to your skin tone.

I hope this review helps you make decisions on selecting some shades in this line.

This foundation is so good. It has the texture of a high end expensive foundation without the oooouch to your wallet. No funny smell and it last long. The first time i tried this, I took a nap and when I awoke my makeup was flawless!!!
