I use this in the bedroom and a small office and it works great. It's pretty quiet except for the occasional gurgle. It's absolutely hysterical in concept as Spongebob is completely ridiculous-looking (I mean that as a compliment): the mist comes out of the top of his head and his right foot is the ON/OFF switch and his left controls the levels of mist (1, 2, 3). You push his tie to turn on the nightlight. I don't have any kids and I dig Spongebob; he is much more pleasant to look at than a regular, institutional humidifier. It's easy to fill and clean. I knocked a star off my rating because the plastic is a bit flimsy and I'm concerned one of his puny arms will snap off one day.

Overrall, it's working. The pros is definitely the price. I got it on sale for [$]. I do have a long list of cons. First of all, due to the sponge bob desing, the squared corner of the water tank is very hard. It's too big to put in the sink to refill so I had to use the shower. When the water gets half fill, the weight and the uncomfortable corner start to take a toll on my wrist. The 2nd things is the vent for the vapor release seems to be too tiny. It thus cause a lot of water accumulated right under the top lid. In an effort to resolve the vent issue, I kept the top lid open to allow water to be release freely, then I got water splashes around unit everywhere. The 3rd, in consideration of the tiny vent or water splash mentioned above, I only used the mid setting for the moisure release. After a night of use, the water doesn't seem to reduce that much from the tank (that's probably the only way I use to see if the unit is working efficiently or not). So here you go, it's working but quite a few things that have rooms for improvement. I am glad that I didn't buy this humidifier in full price and I won't buy it again.

The hummidifier came used.The other one I bought,the dragon came new with plastic and seal everywhere but this one came with spots of water and thrown in the box.

I guess I should have clicked quiet since it never worked. I filled it up and turned it on, and the only part that worked was the night light. That is the 1 thing bad about buying online. I didn't want to waste the time [...]trying to return the junk. I really needed a good humidifier, but this definately wasn't it!

I bought these for both of my boy's rooms and they both thought it was pretty cool. I love the fact that it is quiet and has a night light. It is bulky and takes up a lot of room, but it also holds a LOT of water and doesn't have to filled as often. It is kind of a pain to fill up b/c it holds so much and it is awkwardly heavy, but it's worth it. Overall, I am completely happy with it and think it does a great job. I've bought several humidifiers in the past and have always thrown them out after one season of use. But, we will definitely be using these again this winter. I would (and have) totally recommend this to friends and family.

I was thrilled to get this for my toddler son, because he loves Spongebob, but it is bulky and difficult to fill ( you have to invert it after it is filled and it tends to spill quite a bit)...
My son could not keep his hands off of it and that was another problem. He thought it was a toy. Overall, I wish I had not purchased it.

I bought this mostly for the low price, and I'm pleasantly surprised with the quality. It is fairly quiet (occasional bubbling sound as water level drops) and it is effective in small-to-medium sized rooms. It is also adorable and the nightlight function is fun. We have never used filters with it, and I have not noticed any mineral deposits in the area around the humidifier. It's easy to refill as long as you're smart enough to read the instructions first (which I was not).
