The Laszlo shave cream costs $25 at [...], and while there are certainly creams that are more expensive (e.g., Acqua di Parma's shave cream is $62), there are none that can rival Laszlo's, or so I thought. I've tried the shaving products from Kiehl's, Biotherm Homme, Vichy Homme, The Art of Shaving, Clinique, Aramis Lab Series, and many others. Some of these were very good and some were downright horrible. Even the best ones, however, failed to match the shave quality of the Laszlo. I saw the Cremo Cream on the shelf at [...] and I was intrigued. I threw the the Cremo Cream into my shopping basket with a soupçon of optimism, but mostly with resignation as I'd been let down by so many hollow promises of the "best shave ever!" I'm in grad school now and had resigned myself to the fact that I'd never get a quality, pain-free shave again until I got out of school and could afford the Laszlo once again. I was awed by the quality and value of Cremo Cream. It is neck-and-neck with the Laszlo as the best cream I've ever used. It is luxuriously creamy and the delicate bergamot fragrance is uplifting. I look forward to the olfactory wakeup every morning. It looks, feels, smells, and works like a shave cream that is at least three times its price. Moreover, one tube lasts a very long time because you don't need much for an effective shave. I love this stuff. I love it especially because I despise shaving. Shaving is a time-consuming, expensive, messy, and sometimes painful, necessary evil. Cremo Cream mitigates a great deal of the inconvenience, expense, discomfort, and dread. Get yourself a tube. Now. I don't think I'll ever go back to using the Laszlo. There's no reason to. VS Most Liked Negative Review I Don't Feel the Difference I truthfully want to believe that I am doing something wrong. Best Uses Comments about Cremo Cream Shave Cream, 6 fl oz: Horrible shave cream! I tried this based on the excellent reviews, but wish I had gone with my tried-and-true Tend Skin Shave Gel. This is worse than $.99 Barbasol. I used this for shaving my legs, and the product would not spread well, and provided NO slick for the razor to glide - and I used a new blade. I ended up with horrible razor burn/bumps. This went into the trash! Don't waste your money! Pros

Comments about Cremo Cream Shave Cream, 6 fl oz: I really like this shave cream! It did seem a little bit expensive, but I decided to try it and I am glad I did. As the directions say, a small amount works very well - I use about a 1/2" stripe for my whole face and neck. The smell is very plesent! My one problem is that while I am doing one side of my face, the cream on the other side dries a bit. To their credit, the directions do cover this problem and say to apply just a little more water and that really does work! My skin really does come out feeling soft and smooth! My girl friend has noticed the closer shave. Note that the comments on the tube do say that some people are able to shave against the grain. I can do this, but I actually do make multiple passes because I really do like a close shave. This cream really hangs in there at least as good as the best of the shave gels I have used and better than any of the foamy creams from a can. Be aware to effectively clean the remainder of the shave cream off, I do use soap and water. Water alone takes a lot of rinsing. If you prefer a more minty smelling shave, try Kiss My Face shave lotion as my next best choice from what I have used. Pros

Comments about Cremo Cream Shave Cream, 6 fl oz: I opted to get this Cremo instead of "Lady Cremo" because I have wicked coarse/thick hair...I was not disappointed! This stuff made my legs feel AMAZING after shaving and it was such a close shave--it seems to stretch the time out in-between shaves. Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Cremo Cream Shave Cream, 6 fl oz: This has been a joy to use. I was always an electric razor guy, but using Cremo has started to sway me to straight razor. I like the feel, the scent, the texture, etc. Comments about Cremo Cream Shave Cream, 6 fl oz: This is probably the next best thing to getting the hair on my legs permanently removed with Laser. My limbs are prone to atopic dermatitis and will get itchy very easily, however with this shaving cream I have been OK. My skin feels extra soft and hydrated after using this product. Pros

Comments about Cremo Cream Shave Cream, 6 fl oz: I used this my first time shaving, and I had a very close, smooth shave. For my second ever shave I used something different, and ended up with razor bumps, but now that those are gone I am gonna try this again, and hope for that experience I had the first time I shaved with this product. Comments about Cremo Cream Shave Cream, 6 fl oz: There was nothing about this product that makes me want to rave. I didn't feel much more moisturizIed or as if I got a closer shave after using this product. ![]() |
