I have been using these for almost four weeks and have the whitest smile I can imagine and not one second of pain. There was a second of panic when I couldn't figure out how to best get the strips off my teeth the first time I used them, they are well adhered!, but just peel from the side or the back of your teeth to pry them off. However, my dentist told me to try toothpaste for sensitive teeth for a week before starting my whitening. Also he said to take an Advil one hour before each treatment. I followed his instructions and had NO sensitivity whatsoever. I am so pleased with the results! Also, they have a money back guarantee.  Pros

I used Whitestrips seven years ago and had to quit because of the tooth pain I experienced, so this time I was sure to start using Tom's Of Maine for sensitive teeth several days before starting the Whitestrips. I remember having to clench my jaw uncomfortably to hold the old strips in place, but with the advanced seal, I can talk and go about my business. The whitening has been significant and apparent, though I'm really miffed that the strips are so short. I offset them right one day and left the next to get maximum coverage of all the teeth that show when I smile, while still whitening the front teeth every time. I have definitely had an increase in sensitivity, but it hasn't been nearly as bad as I expected. In a few months I think I'll try the Professional Effects kit to maximize the whitening. Pros

Like another reviewer said, they are stickier than the last and more durable, but they don't stick well to the back side of the teeth. The top sticker is also longer than the last version! You wear it for about 30 minutes. After about 3 minutes I got a bad, kind of painful taste in my mouth. My tounge started to go numb. I didn't want to swallow, so I kept spitting out my chemically saliva. I didn't feel as much pain on my teeth as the last version. With those I had to remove them after about 5 minutes or less because of the most horrendous feeling on my teeth - which lasted after taking them off and rising my mouth with water. After about 30 minutes I took them off with a stick, because they are all slimy by then. Rinsed my mouth out with water and tadah - possibly a mild increase in whiteness. Besides the pain in the beginning and the cost, these might be ok to try for the whole set. Pros

Best Uses Comments about Crest 3D White Advanced Vivid Whitestrips, 14 sets: I had used Crest Premium Whitener twice before and had been happy with the effects. Even though the Premium strips had been a little awkward to use (they occasionally slipped off), overall they were worth it. Then when I recently needed to whiten again I read the buzz about Crest's newest product -- 3D Whitestrips w/ Advanced Seal -- about how they seal better and decided to give them a try. I put them on, set my timer for the recommended 30 minutes, and sat down at my computer to work. Twenty minutes later I had this unbelievably sharp pain shoot from one of my top front teeth up into my skull. I ran to the bathroom sink and tried to remove the strips and could NOT get them off for another frightening minute. What a grip! Only by clawing at them w/ my fingernails was I finally able to get them off! I did not use the strips the following day . On Day 3, I tried again, felt discomfort at 18 minutes and took them off. Day 4: Got to 25 minutes. Day 5 and till the end of the 14 days, I was able to use the full 30 minutes. I will go back to Premium (if they still make it). I would rather do two milder treatments a day that one super-harsh treatment. Pros
