Comments about Cryopak Flexible Compress, Hot or Cold, 1 ea:
I keep several of these in the freezer to use on minor muscle aches and to speed recovery after longer runs. They are durable, flexible and very convenient.
Comments about Cryopak Flexible Compress, Hot or Cold, 1 ea:
What I received is not EXACTLY what is pictured. I have an original Gel-Ice Pack like the one pictured. This gel pack seems to be slightly larger, with the same amt of get in it, so it is not as full. The outer pack of the original seems to be slightly thicker. I have had it for at least 10 years - Can't imagine the ones I receved lasting that long.
No wonder the other reviewer had 1 gel pack broke. Very poor packaging.
Would recomend the original one pictured, not the one sent.
Microwave: Place compress flat on paper towel, set power level to high, heat for 1 minute. Since microwave ovens vary, more or less time may be required to heat to proper temperature. Increase or decrease heating time in 15 seconds intervals to reach a comfortable temperature. Wrap compress in a towel or cloth, then apply to affected area.
Hot Water: Boil 2 quarts (2.4 liters) of water, remove pot from heat. If compress is from the freezer - immerse compress in hot water for 10 minutes. If compress is room temperature - immerse compress in hot water for 7 minutes.
As Cold Compress:
Compress should be stored in freezer for at least 2 hours before using or keep one compress in the freezer for instant use. Wrap in a towel or cloth, then apply to affected area.
Hot & Cool Tip: Wrap a moist towel(s) that is (are) room temperature or even lukewarm around compress before applying to affected areas for comfort and efficiency.
