Do not use with water that s microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfectant before or after the unit.

Do not pull on shower filter or use filter for support.  Filter must be protected against freezing which can cause cracking of the filter and water leakage.  Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives such as chlorine bleach, cleaning fluids, or abrasive pads to clean the shower filter cartridge or housing.

Install on standard 1/2-inch threaded shower arm.

1. Remove existing shower hard from shower arm.
2. Wrap three layers of Teflon® tape around the threads of the shower arm.

3. Attach Culligan® Shower Filter to the shower arm by hand.  Screw on the Culligan® Shower filter until the filter is secure (approximately three revolutions).  Do No Over Tighten.  (If your shower arm is too short you can remove the cartridge and then screw the filter cap onto the shower arm.  Once the filter cap is in place you can replace the cartridge.)
4. Wrap three layers if Teflon® tape onto the threads of the Culligan® Shower Filter.
5. Install your shower head and hand-tighten.
6. Flush the cartridge for 5 minutes to remove all carbon fines.

+ Replace filter cartridge every 6 months or 10,000 gallons/27,850 liters - depending on water conditions or when the smell of chlorine returns.
