Sometimes one is not what you need. I tried this because I read that the active ingredient in this particular item was especially good for other things like thinking even. So I needed a good probiotic to help recover from uses of antibiotics for sinus infections. This is on going and well this time around I didn't feel it was getting there. I turned to yogurt and buttermilk as a better treatment and my old standbys. I thought this is expensive but many other brands are far more expensive too. I might recommend to another because perhaps it's more to do with the other meds I was on...hard to evaluate really. Since going DF/GF and taking this product, I am better able to manage my GI symptoms. I also give this product to my 8- and 12-year old children. I simply open the capsule and mix it in apple sauce or cold liquid. The probiotic is tasteless and the children don't mind taking this product. Previously, they suffered from constipation but not any more. They are regular and not constipated. This is a great product for our family! Always scoping out the nearest bathroom, planning for how soon I need to return home after dinner out with friends, knowing from the moment I started a rich meal that I'd need a bathroom soon afterwards... you know the story. I have been taking Culturelle daily for about 2 years now, and my life is completely changed. Can go to dinner AND a movie and no problems. I am regular as can be, and "problems" are few and far between. As a health care professional, I recommend this to patients all the time. Give it time, not an overnight miracle, give your body a chance to acclimate. Definitely worth a try for many people.
