Comments about Curad Cast Protector Adult Leg, 2 ea: I have had a series of foot surgeries that require me to be in a cast up to my knee for 4-6 weeks, and this product is the best I've found. Because the fiberglass surface was very rough and I didn't want to tear the cast protector, I first put a kitchen garbage bag around the cast and secured it with a rubber band. I then added a small towel around the top of the garbage bag, in case any moisture seeped in. However, everything remained dry. There are no instructions with this product, you just put it on and use it. I should add that I didn't stand under a full shower, but I used the hand-held spray nozzle in order to keep a lot of water from dripping down. But this is the first product I am totally satisfied with, and the price is reasonable. I hope they hold up for another 5 weeks!

Comments about Curad Cast Protector Adult Leg, 2 ea: I've been using this product for about two weeks so far to cover a hard cast from the knee down. The plastic stretches easily, and I can slide it on and off myself without help. The leg opening stretches over the cast and then tightens back up once it reaches the leg. It fights snugly without pinching or cutting off circulation and is easy to pull off again. My cast stays dry, though I haven't tried putting it directly under the shower stream because it isn't necessary or advisable for me.

Comments about Curad Cast Protector Adult Leg, 2 ea: Was skeptical after reading the reviews but since I hoped to only use these for a few weeks, thought I'd try for the low price. After I figured out to put it over my cast it's done fine for 3 weeks of showers w/o getting the cast wet once & I still have another unused one. Can't beat for the price but treat it gently.

Comments about Curad Cast Protector Adult Leg, 2 ea: I had foot surgery and could not get that foot wet until the stitches came out, about three weeks. In order to be able to shower, I bought this product. I decided on this one versus the ones that have rings because my calf is fairly large and I wasn't sure I would be able to get the ring over it, let alone over the surgical boot I was required to wear. In theory, the Curad protector works fine - despite the initially rather small opening, the plastic is such that it stretches a lot, thus allowing it to be pulled over the surgical boot. It then immediately returns to its shape and seals the leg that way. The problem I had was that the surgical boot had quite sharp edges along the sole. Because it was also much longer than my regular shoe size, the protector barely fit lengthwise, stretching the plastic quite tightly along the sole. Just taking a few steps into the shower was enough to cause the stretched plastic to be torn by the sharp edges of the surgical boot. I found that one protector worked a maximum of three times, meaning that after the third time enough water had been able to seep in to soak through the boot. So - at a price of roughly [$] per protector and having to use protectors daily for three weeks, I would at least need 7 of those. That comes to a whopping [$]! The product would work much better if the stress points were somewhat reinforced, i. e. if the sole were made out of something thicker and were also roomier in order to not stretch so tightly. As it is currently designed, I would not buy this again.
